Malabo talaga ito, kung ako rin naman ang nakatira sa subdivision, hindi ako papayag as a homeowner, I am certain that other homeowners would also agree.

Gotta be a homeowner or guest of a homeowner to use these roads. Aside from the security issues, there will be a financial impact as well on the homeowners especially on those main avenues. Their land values will go down. No way these billionaires and their lawyers are going to allow it.

Hahahahaha, eto na ang Tuwid na Daan (patungo sa ka-trapikan )

Tolentino must have gotten this scheme from Las Pinas. Dito, pwede ka mag shortcut sa mga subdivision roads from 5 am to 1030 pm (the closing part is dependent on village policy. Some gates close as early as 930 pm) basta meron kang friendship sticker. This friendship sticker this is given FREE to all bonafide residents of Las Pinas (with some exceptions ).

Now lets give MMDA a headache.

Paano yung mga villages na one part city A and one part city B? Or the travel from village 1 in city A to village 2 in city B to village 3 in city C just to save 8 kms of road travel and 30 mins of travel time? Will the routes be open 24/7 or will them have a designated time-frame? Who will shoulder the cost of road repair and maintenance, granting that these roads are private roads? What control measures should be implemented so these alternate routes will not clog up during rush hour? Assuming Tolentino adopts the "friendship sticker initiative" as a control measure, will the MMDA be willing to offer said stickers FOR FREE?

The problem with this administration is that it is chock full with bright minds lacking common sense.

This might concern those who live in gated communities and subdivisions.

The Metropolitan Development Authority (MMDA) is reportedly planning to open subdivision roads to serve as alternate routes in order to ease traffic in Metro Manila.

According to a report by the Philippine Star, MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said that at least 20-percent of the 5,030 km road network in Metro Manila are in “gated subdivisions.”

Moreover, Tolentino said that the vehicles going to schools account for 50-percent of the traffic volume during weekdays. He also added that the number of vehicles on the same road network incresed from 419,000 to 2.4 million at present.

In the past, various subdivisions have opposed opening up their roads to serve as alternate routes for arterial roads such as EDSA and C-5. The most recent example is Barangay Kapitolyo in Pasig City as homeowners objected to the construction of the Lawton-Sta. Monica bridge that would effectively link J.P. Rizal Street to Kapitolyo. The proposed bridge project is currently stalled.

What do you think? Are you willing to have your subdivision's roads opened up to ease traffic?

Palibhasa halos nakasarado na mata ni Tolentino kaya siguro hindi niya napapansin na yung mga bus ang problema sa daan.
