binubuhay na naman ba ng LTO? I think the motorcycle industry has already killed this memorandum.

Proposed, reproposed, junked, reproposed. There's word going around that it is going to be reproposed again. There are calls from some of the community to have an open dialogue with the LTO to settle it once and for all.
Our laws should make sense. They shouldn't punish people for arbitrary reasons.

They should make laws that actually make sense to the community that will be affected.
Like the cybercrime law... its the internet noobs trying to make laws that are beyond their control. In the case of LTO A015, it's the people who don't drive nor have any interests in cars beyond their status symbols that are making stupid laws/rules.

September 27th, 2012 08:13 PM #47That the Phils for you. The govt makes it a point to make life difficult for the citizens. Useless laws, pointless laws, laws that are so vauge you can interpret it 2000 ways, laws that only the law makers know exist. Laws that were not thought through. Penalties and fines for anything and everything.
Permits and taxes for anything and everything. Income tax, vat, w/tax, inheritance tax, capital gains tax, tax on top of tax. Very expensive electricity, low labor productivity, militant labor.........
Hay only in da Phils.
I guess that's why its more fun in the PhilippinesLast edited by userfriendly; September 27th, 2012 at 08:16 PM.

So far, according to chief Torres, this is not true. I suspect it came up at the AAP conference today, as friends from TGP just shared it.
So... FALSE ALARM, folks.

The funny thing is yung sagot ni chief Torres tila dedma or totally walang muwang sa LTO-AHS-2008-01 which voids some portions/provisions of LTO-2008-015, particularly:
"Item 7. Implementation of paragraph 3, Section 8 of AO No. AHS-2008-15 requiring prior approval of the LTO and DTI in modifying original standard design of a motorcycle or scooter is hereby suspended, together with section 11d thereof.
(Section XI-d - For modifying any part of the original designs of a motorcycle or scooter without approval of the LTO and the DTI, a fine of Two Thousand Pesos (P2,000.00))
