I get leon's point. In the first place hinde na dapat bumalik just to get the id card. Dapat unang punta pa lang pag renew Makuha mo na agad, Kaya in that sense we don't need to be grateful to them. Plus hinde Naman libre binayaran rin Naman natin.

On the other hand it's what we have to live with. So should also be thankful na Makuha na sa Wakas.

An LTO branch is near our place. Saka ko na kunin yung akin, isabay ko na pagdating ng plates. Mahirap na baka mapamaskuhan pa ng kakilala. Hehe

    this is my theory.
your pictures are already in their memory bin.
when you go to claim your card, they search the memory and print it.
yes, they can print all the cards in the chronology of application until the cards run out, but they probably think the same as me, that many of these applicants, though they applied early, will choose not to claim their cards, yet. sayang naman ang mga cards na ginawa na ngunit hindi naman pala kinukuha ng may-ari.
ang ginagawa nila ngayon, ay inu-una ang mga cards ng interesado.
    my theory.

Same theory as well. When I called & inquired last Dec 19 re the release of the plastic cards, they initially said up to June (or July) lang daw muna print nila. When they asked when I renewed, I said Sept, baka pwede ko na kunin. Then he said wait lang & I heard him ask yung kasama niya, & sabi o sige pwede na rin daw. I then immediately proceeded to the LTO branch & got my plastic card.

My guess is each branch has an allotted x number of plastic cards, & they just print as needed when someone comes to pick them up.

F.Y.I, atty, I did not apply for the job, and I am not applying for the job, and I am certain I will not apply for the job of "tagapamuno ng LTO". I have no (death) wish to be in government, even if I am qualified. But those who applied for the job, those who are applying for the job, or those who will be applying for the job, better deliver the goods. They better have the ability to perform and perform well, at that. The Filipino people deserve no less.

Ok, so be a man... Call them up, introduce yourself and tell them how disappointed you are at them for giving you the opportunity to finally claim your card now instead of next year. Give 'em hell! How dare they, right?

What happened to Christmas being the season of giving? You can give the gift of forgiveness.

Hangang sa forum lang kasi kaya mag-complain. Maybe you should try getting off your high horse.
Don't get me wrong, I have high respect for people (like you?) who always see the silver lining in every cumulonimbus clouds. Filipinos are typically known for being "matiisin", anyway.

We accept "sh1t" for the longest time, and this has resulted in mediocrity being the norm rather than the exception, especially when it comes to government services.

We rarely complain. When we do, the powers that be would just throw a measly bone our way, and we're back to being our contented selves.

LTO OFFICIALS: "Eto na lisensiya ninyo, swerte kayo nahabol pa namin bago mag-pasko yan. O di ba?"

"MATIISING" PINOY: "Galeng galeng, ninyo boss/sir/tsip/amo. Kayo na! Tenkyu beri beri beri match nagawan niyo ng paraan. Anong gagawin namin kung wala kayo? Tatanawin naming napakalaking utang na loob yang ginawa ninyo boss/sir/tsip/amo. Meri Kristmas, boss/sir/tsip/amo"

LTO OFFICIAL <with matching ngiting aso> : "Dapat lang. Bonus namin ha."

LTO OFFICIAL thought ballon: "Nakauto na naman kami. YES! From zero to hero, again"

When will we learn? No wonder we are in such a mess. Sometimes we've no one to blame but ourselves.

You're nit picking and extrapolating from your own animosity towards the government in general, rather than stating facts. This is not about accepting 'sh/t' from them. We all seem to have forgotten how to look at the real value rather than the face value. What is it to them for releasing it earlier than expected? 15 minutes of fame? Well, give them that.... nothing wrong with it. All things considered, there were wrong decisions made before but it's always good to see that they're able to rectify and do something about it. What's the value to us? Getting our cards sooner than the supposedly March 2017 release date.

Don't get me wrong... I'm not ecstatic about getting my card early. This falls more in the category of "That'll do, LTO. That'll do". But I would not go so far as bash them for wanting a bit of positive PR. I will, however, draw the line IF they start to ask for more money to release the cards early... which they didn't.

ask not what your country can do for you. ask what you can do for your country.

ano bang nagawa mo para sa bayan?

don't just whine. talk is cheap leonleon. do your share. if you're shortchanged by LTO hale their asses off to court, or, better yet, face them man-to-man. acting like a cantankerous old woman won't do it. do justice to your handle.

your sense of entitlement is eclipsed only by your asininity.

Ano nagawa ko para sa bayan? Seriously? Hmmmm.....

    1) I pay my all my taxes diligently, correctly, and promptly.
    2) I obey the counntry's laws, even the ones I don't agree with, coz no person or group is above the law.
    3) I work, therefore I am a productive member of society, and thus I contribute to the country's progress and prosperity.
    4) I vote.
    5) I don't care for dole outs from the government, therefore I am not a burden to the government's (charitable) resources, be it related to schooling, medical, 4P's, housing, or other charitable government funded programs. And neither do I partake of such programs even when opportunity presents itself.
    6) I respect the individual rights and freedoms of others, as guranteed by our constitution.
    7) I don't park my car on the street, so I don't impede the flow of vehicular traffic on our street.
    8) I don't conduct business on the sidewalk, so I don't impede pedestrian traffic on our street.
    9) I don't squat on property that is not mine.

Will JFK be happy with the short list above?

Indeed talk is cheap, but sometimes that's all we have. Especially when government is super duper "manhid".

Haul them to court? You're kidding right? For what? For being a-holes? For not doing their jobs? Have you ever successfully sued city hall?

Leave a complaint with LTO? Their feedback mechanism is non-existent. They just don't care.

Sense of entitlement? You talk as if Filipinos owe 200% of their existense to government and therefore have no right whatsover to complain when said government fails to deliver even the most basic of services.

Hindi naman ako palamunin ng gobyerno, so, yeah, I think I have some right to complain.

You should see how Americans bash their government. And to think Americans have it better than us when it comes to delivery of basic government services. Who's whiny now?
