August 23rd, 2021 12:43 PM #481if i were me,
documents in hand, including two xeroxes of the ORCR,
i'd bring the car to the LTO and chance the emissions testing there, kung tinatanggap pa ng LTO branch doon. i'll go there first thing in the morning, to avoid emissions testing pila.
once done, i'd walk to the window.
i do not know if our papers will walk anywhere, if not accompanied by emissions test results.
kung kailangan ng stencil, they will send one of their authorized stencil people to do it.
in the last couple of years, we did not need stenciling our not-new cars. not necessary daw.Last edited by dr. d; August 23rd, 2021 at 12:50 PM.

August 23rd, 2021 12:48 PM #482pwede naman outside LTO.. alam ko mga emission testing centers are already online/connected with LTO system.. make sure lang na connected nga yung emission testing center na pupuntahan mo.
may memorandum na din ang LTO not requiring stencil for newer model cars.. not sure sa age of vehicle.. kung less than 10 years pa lang, no need na mag stencil..

August 23rd, 2021 12:56 PM #483emissions testing facilities have always been online-connected.
aside from uploading your emissions test, they also check your papeles via online. if your new-ish car isn't already in the LTO database, they won't test your car.
the problem arises, when the facility's online connection fails.
while many times the down-online is only for a few minutes, kung minsan ay isang oras mahigit bago bumalik ang signal. haba pila. they do not test if online is down. kahit katabi lang nila ang LTO building.
the first thing i ask the person, is, "ok ba, online ba?"
then there's the daily maximum number of tests allowed. in my last testing this may, i arrived at my suking malayo-sa-LTO emissions testing facility at 8 am, was listed down, and asked to come back in a couple of days.
i didn't want to wait that long, so i drove to the LTO and had my emissions test done at the privately-owned emissions facility there. buti na lang, i was a senior citizen; my old age allowed me to jump the long queue over the others. (hey! i didn't ask for it; it was volunteered to me by the person. all i did was to nod my head.)Last edited by dr. d; August 23rd, 2021 at 01:31 PM.

A passed PETC test has a 60day validity, if I'm not mistaken. If you were able to get that, then insurance & stencils are all you lack.
Problem here, PETCs, since like 2weeks ago, no longer accept private vehicles. We were pointed to MVICs.
On stencils, I got conflicting answers from 2 district offices. 1 says they're still needed for renewal....Not a worry for me though as I always keep a lot of these per VIN & engine# to cut inspection time.

September 4th, 2021 11:54 AM #489Kakagaling ng emission test ngayong Sabado.
Pila before 800am, pang 1 or 2 sa pila.
Open dapat 800am, kaso technician pumasok 910am na. Natapos din by 920am. 500 pesos bayad.
Kuha muna TPL sa BPI for ~600 pesos.
Hopefully next week sa LTO mabilis lang para hindi matagal ang absent sa work.
