Matipid ako mag drive and magaan ako tumapak sa gas pedal even before this crisis, but lately, I keep my speeds low kahit maluwag ang daan -mga 40-50kph lang. Kung NCR streets, that's not an unreasonable speed naman. I also let the faster drivers go ahead also.

Mas ginagamit ko rin yung 1.0 ko na Toyota lately kasi matipid siya (eh kung pang mall-grocery errands lang, what's the rush?)

That's the safest bet Naman talaga in dire times like these. Having a feather foot is like having a double barrel rev limiter. 😊💯

DPWH: EDSA rehabilitation project on track for completion next year | Autoindustriya

Aside from rehabilitating the roadway, the DPWH is also widening sidewalks along the entire EDSA corridor up to Monumento to improve pedestrian access and create a safer shared space for cyclists. Sidewalks that were previously between 1.2 and 1.5 meters wide are being expanded to 3.2 meters.

I wonder if the "new wider" sidewalks will also be used as bike lanes.

In some parts of EDSA they are a good addition but in others they are a source of tarffic and bottle neck areas.
As much as i admire the addition of the larger sidewalk, its underultization causes more traffic due to narrower roads with cars now being bigger and wider plus Motorcycles rides lane splitting causes slow down and bottle necks in these areas.
Specifically the entry and exit ramps to makati - Arnaiz Ave.
