Driver's License Renewal in Malls.

Mga dudes...sa SM north edsa ba may license Renewal pa?...expired na kc sa akin june 30 2010 pa, di ko naasikaso dahil sa work ko...meron pakaya dun?..thanks

expired license yata sir needs a re-exam, ewan ko lang kung may limit yung lapsed or basta expired re-exam na timano.

if yes, LTO branch(not the satellites) na ang kailangan mong puntahan to renew your expired license.

When did your license expired? If within a year expired you ca renew this without re exams, if more than a year expired you have to retake exams.

^^actually di sa akin sa brother ko na nasa Middle East, 6months nang expired uuwi sya ng Feb. 2011 so mga 10mos na expired that time. Pwede pa rin ba nya i-renew sa satellite offices?

yup.. pwede pa yan sa mga satellite offices and there's no need for a re-exam... but of course there's a penalty for it... satellite LTO offices are more convenient rather than going to LTO main offices or branches... naka-aircon ka na kaunti pa tao most of the time... plus after processing your license, you can then go around the mall...

Last week, I went back to the same office expecting the same wonderful results.

Bad trip! It took 3 frikkin hours!

May dinagdag na red tape doon sa drug testing. Before, you just had to submit your pee sample. Now, they also take your picture and fingerprints (aka Biometrics daw).

The problem is, yung fingerprint scanner nila doon sa Tiendesitas office is not working correctly. From the time I submitted my sample, it took two hours before my name was called again for the fingerprint scanning. When I got to the "biometrics" station to get my finger prints scanned, they had to repeat the scan 5-10 times per finger. After the the "biometrics" scan, it took another 30mins to get my license card printed.

correct ka dyan sir! kung wla lang etcheboretche yung mga drug testing centers sa mall the best na sana mga lto satellite centers sa malls. biruin mo ang drug testing centers ang cause of delay, diba dapat the other way around (ang lto dapat ang mabagal) hehehehe but in fairness, naka-aircon ka sa mall so hindi masyadong nakakainip maghintay.
