Do You Drive Without Aircon?

AC triggers the highspeed engine cooling fan in modern cars. With it off, the engine will run a lil hotter til it reaches the fan trigger temp...I had a friend consult me once why his coolant boiled over on a spirited hill run when he intentionally had his AC off to decrease parasitic load. Told him that w/ AC off, his Hi-Speed fan won't trigger til coolant temp reaches 105°C, above water's boiling point. He tried AC on as advised....no boil over. Yes, his was a car w/ split Brit quirks.

In any urban area, never. Nadala ako kasi I was a witness to a crime where this shirtless thug was walking through traffic, checking for unlocked door. He found one with an open window. Ayun, tinutukan ng kutsilyo yung driver & robbed the poor guy. Even when parked in the city, I never open the windows. Either I go out or keep a/c on with doors locked. Too risky.

This makes sense. Di mababayaran yung tinipid mo sa aircon sa malas na abutin mo tulad nito.

Never. I only vent-in fresh air on long drives. Nagiging stale kasi ang hangin kapag panay recirculate lang after hours of driving

For me, I usually do it when travelling in provincial areas which are less polluted. Minsan I don't use aircon pero minimal lng ung gap sa windows, especially during colder months (December- January).

As much as I want to fully open the windows specially in the early morning or late night drive super risky sya, baka manakawan pa ako or mapahamak along the way.
