Hi Tsikoteers, I'd like to ask for your help in shedding some light on why my car's registration cost is so steep. I own a '98 Mitsubishi Space Wagon, the CR shows that it is a Medium Car in Denomination, a Sedan, and with and Gross Weight of 1900..
I had this car registered on the last week of August since its plate no. ends in 9; and it did cost me more than P7,000 for the entire registration cost..
The MVUC alone is already P6,000!
Will a car this old, and not that big and heavy for that matter really net that much as its MVUC cost?

July 1st, 2009 09:07 PM #2i feel for you bro. i own a 97 accord & 6k for MVUC alone. very steep indeed for an old car. in fact, i have been paying that amount for years now. i wonder when they will review their MVUC matrix to adjust it to real world terms

i think the MVUC cost depends on the displacement of the engine, whether new or old.
