    airshaq20,

yung accident ko was not my fault. i was following this truck at illinois then may lumipad na plastic sheet from a greenhoused farm, nasagasaan ng truck so lumipad pataas tapos it landed on my windshield. bumalot sa windshield ko, as in zero visibility agad. i could'nt slam the brakes since there were cars around me so hazard lights lang tapos slowed down. but then lumabas na yung left wheels sa road (ice! may blizard nuon) so i ended up doing 720 degrees, landed in a ditch and broke 3 wheel lug nuts. took more than an hour for a police car to come, and another hour for the tow truck to arrive. ok lang naman, as soon as the policeman determined that it was not my fault (he even retrieved the plastic sheet which was 4 meters x 5 meters) kwentuhan na lang kami sa cruiser nya. pwede ko daw idemanda yung farm kung gusto ko kaya nya kinuha yung plastic for evidence purposes ehehehehe!

how much ang insurance dyan sa US pag below 25? i'm more than 30 but here in UK sobrang laki ng binayaran ko sa insurance (£490=P49,000) at TPL pa yon. i was thinking that tesco car insurance rep ripped me off. :fire:

you can use your PDL in california for 30days upon arrival. pagkatapos 30days kuha k na sa DMV.

sa car rental, they'll be asking the names of those who will be driving the cars kung di lang ikaw mag mamaneho during the duration ng rental mo.

i got a parking ticket kasi di ko nailipat parada, schedule pala ng cleaning ng sidewalk, di ko nabasa sked.

anyone from Australia? is it true na mas madaling kumuha nang license don pag holder ka nang international license? hindi ka na daw dadaan sa pagiging Learner? mahigpit kasi ang rules nang acquiring driver's license don..

for 9 months (on and off) i used my local DL in California. Nagre-rent ako sa Enterprise , valid na yun DL natin plus the credit card, no problem. And just like some of us here, they didn't bother with the IDL.

Nag-canvass ka ba sa iba? Minsan more than £100 ang difference sa iba. But there are many reasons that determine your premium. If you have a PH DL, considered ng insurer na Learner/Student Driver ka lang. Pati type ng car and engine size. Age matters, too, so as where you keep the car overnight (road/driveway/garage), the place where you live, etc. Has the car been modified? Maski alloy wheels, I/H/E, spoiler, mod na yon.

Derivative lang ng same model may difference na. For Compre cover, yung standard 1.6 Civic around £700, yung sa akin sports derivative (Vtec, oem alloys and oem sports suspension) naging £900+ na, although less than £400 na lang ngayon with almost 5 years No Claims Bonus/No Accidents and with a Full UK license. I tried to transfer my NCB to another car and they want me to pay £900+ again for the Civic (this time TPL lang yan) ... Kaya huwag ka nang magreklamo every year nagmamahal ang insurance kapag zero NCB.

FWIW, I think Tesco is one of the cheapest.

Swerte mo pa rin pre. At least na acknowledge ng cops na di mo fault. Most Americans would sue the farm owner to get $$$ though, sad but true. Most important thing is buhay ka and hindi mo fault. Else, pag sa freeway nangyari yun at maraming nadamay at fault mo, even if bayaran pa ng insurance company kung mababa yung nakuha mong 3rd party liability insurance, you will end up paying for those people na nag sue sayo. So swerte mo pa rin.
