i wonder, will LTO accept renewal two months ahead of schedule?
    heh heh.
They somehow accepted my 1-ending plate before the holidays. Be conscious of insurance expiry & start dates.

what about kaya retreaded tires. I know trucks and PUJ use retreaded tires.
are they to be considered brand new from the date they were retreaded?

IIRC the age limit for tires in more advanced markets is 10 years. Ang sosyal naman natin.

i think the tire's weakness is its sidewall.
and the five-year age is their default tool for tire-worthiness.
i do not think the number of re-treads will affect their default evaluation.

i think they acknowledge 6 years as their upper limit for tireworthiness.
thus the 5 year policy. "the tire shall be worthy until the time it is re-newed registration the following year."

so what do i think about tire-worthiness?
    ...i ...don't know...
i do not have the expertise.

How long typically would you say tires would last in kms, granted there are no alignment issues? 90k kms?

Medyo mabilis ang wear nyan bro. Stock tyres nang Accent ok noon, Kumho na entry level tyre 40k lang. Bridgestone Ecopia 60k, Petlas 88k. Ibaiba rin, depende sa brand. The reason I asked is, you can do as much retreading on the tyres as long as it is still 5years or less so, PUVs who do as much as 30k a year would typically wear down the tyres in 2 years & can do a retread for 3 more years if the sidewalls structural integrity is still OK. Practical opinion only.
