magmamahal na naman presyo ng non-apperance nito haha. wala naman ako problema kung gagawin nila ito. pero sa tingin nyo eh may papasa ba mga PUVs dito? another source of corruption na naman ito eh.

it might give rise to the "spot check industry".
like what some (makati?) so-called enforcers do from time to time along south superhighway between vito cruz and pasay road...
they would flag down commercial diesel vehicles (e.g., delivery vans like L300s and elves) for emissions check, even as these vehicles were not spewing soot...

i was once flagged down for emissions check of my near-new diesel vehicle, somewhere in makati, years ago.
but when i noticed that the person was sporting an expired ID, i said "un-authorized po kayo", commenting on his ID, and i drove off.

government should really have a national policy, to prevent enterprising entities from abusing the system.

Agree...matagal na practice yan sa May Tomas Mapua. They are experts in changing the manufacturing date sa sidewalk ng tires.

    talagah!
they can brand the ten-year old tire to make it appear that it was manufactured just last month?

    naku mods,
erase nyo itong last two posts dito!
baka mag accidental kitakits ang mga tsikoteers sa t. mapua...
    heh heh heh.

i actually went down to check on my car's tire dates.
    the oldest is dated 3516...
the spare tire is probably much much older. i bought it early on, after my oem spare tire + mags was stolen. i replaced the purloined spare with a pre-owned revo steel rim + pre-owned tire...
i'll have to buy newer tires for when it's for LTO renewal at the 4th quarter this year...

But don't tires need to be replaced naman talaga after 5 years regardless of condition?
