DOTr head: 70-point Motor Vehicle Inspection System should be made mandatory | TopGear PH

The establishment of new PMVICs is currently delayed, however, because of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee’s ongoing investigation to look into motorists’ complaints. Some of the issues raised by the public are the high testing fees (originally) charged by PMVICs and the inconsistent results of the tests, as well as the lack of consultation with stakeholders prior to the launch of the new Motor Vehicle Inspection System.

is there an adequate number of reach-able testing facilities?

will they require this of all vehicles, this time?

    comment nga ng iba,
"why require it of private vehicles, and not require it of PU vehicles? it's common knowledge, the PU vehicles stand a better chance of failing."

Technically, all "administrations" start well. Things change after the mid-year elections...

MVIS is NOT a bad idea, wrong timing lang.

mvis is a bad idea, if it is not equally applied.

Technically yes, but in reality, will the investor spend more in hiring qualified people and training them regularly? Or will they opt to recoup their investment as fast as they can so the sooner they can let the gravy flow before a change in administration? If yes, then say hello to people who will check your tire pressure by banging their fists on the rubber [AI] Here's what they'll check during MVIS inspection
