In my case, there's no problem with 5000km pms, i prefer mineral oil that's why i go to Toyota for change oil/filter. My 10K pms cost me Ph2,944; and 15K pms cost me Ph2,936. For my 20K pms, it cost me only about Ph2,000 because i get rid of that thing they call "Car Care Kit". Also told them that i'll stick to the periodic 10,000km brake inspect/clean/adjust as they recommended to touch the brakes every 5,000km which will cost about Ph800.

we follow the 5k km oil change interval in my good old lancer.

The 10 year old with 155K km mileage 4G13 still runs fine up to this date.

    ano yung "car care kit"?
clean and adjust brakes kada 5000Km, parang sobrang limit ah. Ang alam ko diba kada 10,000km ito, tama ba?

Car care kit? Its this stuff (like Armor All Protectant) that they spray on the rubber mouldings sa doors, hood and trunk, i have nothing against it but the manner they apply it...its all over the place lalo na sa interior panels and body paints, since its sticky, dirt and dust acumulates so im having a hard time cleaning and wiping it off. I wasnt inform of this before until recently, this cost me additional 400pesos every pms. So you see, they're making more money out of this.

Yup its supposed to be every 10,000km, they recommend that every 5,000 km pms they inspect/clean/adjust the brake, kasi daw some customers are complaining about their brakes. Its just their recommendation..so its up to us. Also i wasnt informed of this until recently. Again...more profit d ba?

mas gusto ko pang gawin ang 1st 1k, 5k at 10k para siguradong ma-check ang kotse bago ito tuluyang pangharabas...

Mas gusto ko na after 10k e bahala nako kung saan ipapasok yung tsikot for maintenance....

Why does Toyota Philippines insist on 5K service interval?
