190 kph - 2.7 VVTi Hilux MT (gas)
205 kph - V6 Prado AT (gas)
both vehicles pag umabot ng max speed nya, automatic na sasakalin ng engine yun gas para bumagal, kahit anung apak mo ibabalik ka nya below these speeds.

a bit of caution. Non-ABS driving fast.
maluwang ang kalsada, halos walang sasakyan, at cruising speed of 190 kph on a fast lane, hilux pickup, a slow moving truck from middle lane swerved unto my lane from a 150 meters (approx) ahead of me. i have no choice but to hit the brake as there's one vehicle on my rear-right. my life flashed before me in split second thinking it was my last. i dunno how i did it but i still managed to evade the truck by hairline during braking. kasi nung napansin nyang mababangga ko sya lumipat naman sya sa emergency lane, e duon papunta vehicle ko, bale ni cut na nya ako tapos ni gitgit nya pa ako. ang haba ng skid marks ko, kumukulo pa yung tunaw na rubber sa daan.
ang lawak ng kalsada napili nya pa yung fast lane hindi man lang ata tumingin sa side mirror. i wanted to throw something unto his wind shield but cant find any. tried to go after the truck but i cant anymore.
my colaterral damages were uneven wear on my front tires, so severe that it's like driving the car through a pot holed road. i have to stop, exchange spare with one in front then exchange the other with one from rear. soon as i got to the nearest gas station, im compelled to buy new set of tires.

August 6th, 2009 10:26 AM #104^Isn't the Hilux equipped with ABS? The Innova E has it. But 150M is waaay too short for normal braking from 190km/h, even for a sports car.

^ the Hilux i was using is a company issued vehicle model 2006, 2 wheel rear drive (ride height lower than 4x4). Probably, why it doesn't have the usual standard safety features kasi its meant for company utility use, not the regular one being sold in casa.
And yes, * 190kph, 150metres (approx) is way way way too short for normal braking. Visually, tantya naman natin effective braking distance ng mga minamaneho natin eh kaya alam ko sasalpukin ko talaga yung truck. what's more at this speed halos walang kapit yung rear tires kasi magaan/halos walang load sa likod. it is a dire forced stop kasi nga na gitgit nya pa ako kaya talagang need for total sudden stop.
im aware of "manual ABS" yung tipong hindi isang tapak lang ang braking pero at those times hindi ko na nagawa. im lucky to be alive.

170 kph, with 5 people in the car.
Did it with my old AE92 GL way back in college along Katipunan, mga 3am ata.
I don't have proof but it seems like the CRV shrank from the previous generation.
