my apology for my Q dunno about this though
what is these TVSS thing? is this only for Innova(s) who has a remote key? as to what year does the Innova have these type? coz I got an '05 Innova.
what would be the difference between a TVSS and installing an aftermarket alarm from car shop(s)? yeah hampasin mo ang innova, but what would trigger is the car alarm (am I right?) how would the TVSS trigger, as to what particular circumstances?
but anyway, does an '05 Innova has a TVSS?
thanks.

TVSS - Toyota Vehicle Security System. This is the stock alarm of Toyota vehicles and only equipped to the G and V variant of the Innova. This is a very cheap alarm system. Several aftermarket alarms are better than this one. The only thing i like about the tvss is the remote is incorporated within the key. Its located under the dash sa likod ng meter. mahirap ma-trigger ito. kailangan hampasin mo yung dash ng malakas.

Just recently...nagpa upgrade ako ng TVSS alarm ko for my 05 altis.
Manhid and insensitive kasi talaga yung existing shock sensor, every new year lang nag-aalarm dahil sa paputok.
Cost me only P1,500 including labor, brand is cobra.
Yung existing tvss will function as it is...yung toyota remote pa rin ang gamit.
ang difference lang is that an add-on shock sensor and a "LOUD" horn was installed, kaya isang tapik lang...nag-aalarm na...haha..
just the way a car alarm should act.
