June 28th, 2010 05:49 PM #172Base sa pix ni ginova. nakadikit sa foam yung unit? Naglagay ako datiu ng alarm sa civic ko, and it states sa manual dapat sa chassis nakadikt ang alarm para proper ang sensitivity ng shock sensor.

Here's another shot of the TVSS. It is actually mounted to a solid steel frame. I think this is the reason kung bakit mahirap sya ma-trigger kasi bago mo mauga yung frame medyo malakas na hampas ang kailangan . Medyo maiksi kasi yung cable kaya di ko mailipat ng location. Mukhang mas maganda nga kung sa body sya i-mount kasi mas flexible cya. konting hampas lang sigurado magvibrate yung buong panel.

June 28th, 2010 08:08 PM #174Hmm bka pde dugtungan mga wires pero kakatakot naman galawin yan, baka magloko at di magstart ang makina. :D
Anyway nag install na lang ako ng aftermarket alarm na nabibili sa banawe, shock sensor lang gamit ko, other connections di ko na ginamit. Dalawa ngayon ang dine activate ko kada alis ko.
Ano nga yung alarm na pde i-tap sa stock toyota alarm para ma-augment ang shock sensor?

July 1st, 2010 02:48 PM #176I thought the key has a transponder thingy that will prevent the unauthorized use of duplicated keys.
I did a simple experiment this morning. I locked the doors using the TVSS control key, open my door using the SPARE ALL METAL (no plastic holder) key, as expected the alarm activated. I quickly inserted the all metal key to the ignition switch and to my surprise, th alarm deactivated and the engine started. WITH THE ALL METAL KEY!
WTF! nasa manual me immobiliser! tapos audible alarm lang ang nakakabit sa atin?

July 1st, 2010 03:13 PM #178AFAIK, 2.0V lang ang may immobilser (and meron ding push button start).
Also, the all-metal key is dubbed 'valet key' so naturally, it should be able to start the car. What it cannot do is open the trunk (even with the trunk opener at the driver side) if you locked you trunk with the main key one step counter-clockwise.
