Here's another shot of the TVSS. It is actually mounted to a solid steel frame. I think this is the reason kung bakit mahirap sya ma-trigger kasi bago mo mauga yung frame medyo malakas na hampas ang kailangan .

I thought the key has a transponder thingy that will prevent the unauthorized use of duplicated keys.

I did a simple experiment this morning. I locked the doors using the TVSS control key, open my door using the SPARE ALL METAL (no plastic holder) key, as expected the alarm activated. I quickly inserted the all metal key to the ignition switch and to my surprise, th alarm deactivated and the engine started. WITH THE ALL METAL KEY!

Also, the all-metal key is dubbed 'valet key' so naturally, it should be able to start the car. What it cannot do is open the trunk (even with the trunk opener at the driver side) if you locked you trunk with the main key one step counter-clockwise.

May housing for the keys to replace yung rubber laminate. 600 pesos and gamit ng buttons are the hard plastic type, yung typical buttons. Ordered one and will be arriving in a week.

Baka dala mo yung other key? kasi you used the spare all metal but still the immobilizer did not kick in because you have the other key nearby. Or maybe wala talaga immobilizer.
