Baka sa Pinas lang may issue kung maging taxi yung sarili mong sasakyan.

Sa Japan, hindi ginagawag taxi yung Civic and Corolla dahil undesized. The regular taxis are usually full sedan like the Toyota Crown and Comfort.

There are special taxis which are small (keijidousha) and which operate at night primarily for those who have have had alcoholic drinks (instead of driving while intoxicated, you can just use these special taxis and have you & your car delivered to your home).

'Just came from Timor Leste. Ang mga taxi nila dun eh yung hindi "normally" ginagawang taxi sa 'Pinas e.g. Altis (1.5), Civic (VTEC ang iba), Vios (yung bago), City (yung bago), Lancer (yung MX) at Nissan (yung Exalta). Kaya nga medyo nang-lata yung isang kapwa ko consultant na Pinoy na kasama namin - yung bago nyang Civic eh taxi lang sa isang bansa na di hamak na mas mahirap sa Pilipinas. In fact, he is seriously considering changing his car next year - even earlier.

Why is it an issue to use Altis (or other cars) as taxi? Bawas pogi points ba yun sa naka Altis? hehehe

ang vios halos puro E and J ang nakikita ko...often white in color.

wala na kasing pwedeng gawing taxi kundi toyota...

I see it as a step to better public transport, an sarap siguro sumakay sa rear seats ng Altis (pag umaandar hehe). Sana nga magkaron ng bigger cars na taxi so that commuting will be a lot more comfy. Puro na lang kasi lumang corolla yung mga taxi natin eh = (

Sa Europe naman chedeng, jags and BMWs, hehe at least nakasakay pa rin ako sa Jaguar.
