For me big deal din PMS policy, kain time and money din ito lalo na ako lang nag aasikaso. Pero in our family's case, OK lang 5k kms PMS intervals dahil yan lang din mileage namin in 1 year so I dont feel compelled pag nag pa service at more or less 5k since once a year lang naman.
What I like sa most japan brands that we own including toyota is they suit our needs and style, they seem not to care sa time as long as we have the cars serviced every 5k or 10k kms. Yung motorimage/subaru bgc ok na din kahit medyo mahigpit sa time, payag na sa 10k kms or 8-9 months interval.

Honda only allows it with Honda Genuine Oils... with fully synthetic "highly recommended".
Being a Honda owner, I love the long change intervals, and the engineering is fantastic, but Honda is the exception rather than the norm.
And the design of the L13A is different from the 1NZ or 1ZZ, so the comparison is pretty much useless. If a motor is not designed to go on long change intervals with mineral oil, then it's not designed to go that distance on mineral oil.
We've already pointed out that change intervals for Toyota in the United States are the same as here, so I don't see what the point is in complaining about TMPI when they're following manufacturer recommendations.

Sige na nga. Nang dahil kay TS na-convince na tuloy ako na better ang 5k OCI para sa 2NZ ko instead of my planned tipid-mode 10k OCI
