Anyway, the TS' first point has been rebuffed already as his claim that Toyota doesn't allow 10K service was proven otherwise. I was at Toyota today and the SA confirmed also that the PMS if the car is using fully synthetic oil is 10,000kms. 5,000kms if you're using mineral.

I don't think my earlier question has been answered so we can probe on who's really screwing who. What's the average 10K PMS cost of the Honda or Chevy which the TS prefers?

In the case of my Altis 1.6L (serviced at toyota shaw)
25K service - Php 2,371.50 (1,471.50 labor and oil filter + P900 approx for the semi-synth oil i brought in).
    30K service - Php 3,420.00 (2,520 labor and oil filter + P900 approx oil)
    Total: P 5,791.50 for the last 10,000kms.

    honda's is 10,000 / 6-months. so yes it's 2x a year

of course i've asked toyota for their basis! they just said "ganun talaga" dahil "severe" daw ang pilipinas. LOL

again the BASIS SHOULD BE the manuals with the PMS intervals determined by the car maker itself who actually designed the car i.e. the "real experts". and of course they have taken into account the local weather, as well as the long-term reliability of their product which of course WILL AFFECT their brand image. so yes they have studied this very well!

    ahihihi..

And as far as I can tell, the recommended change interval for mineral oil (which is the standard oil for the 5k PMS) is 3,000 miles according to Toyota in the US... which is roughly... you guessed it... 5,000 kilometers. If you want to go to the 7,500 mile interval, you have to go synthetic. And even on synthetic, they recommend not going more than 5,000 miles (7,500 kilometers) during severe use.

    Anlabo naman, oh.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

And alam ko may additional discount pa ulit yan ng 10% if one uses a Toyota Metrobank credit card for payment.

    BTT:

If you guys hate going to the casa (or talyer) to have your cars serviced, then by all means DO NOT have it serviced! Just drive it until it expires in some lonely, dusty, dark street corner, leave it behind, and kick its doors shut .............

    And ride a cab.

Pati ba naman PMS pinagtatalunan? ...... HDP
