    the outrageous fuel in-efficiency figures (in my opinion) of the gas revo are listed in the first page of this thread. visit it and cringe..

    Yes, VX200 is the TOTL ng Revo.

    It depends sa route mo and traffic conditions. Pati na rin sa maintanance ng sasakyan.

    Twice kami lumuwas from Bataan to Makati and back last December. Acceptable naman para sa amin ang FC nya. This is for VX200 Gas A/T.

    Route: Bataan National Road> Pampanga National Road > NLEX > EDSA > Makati

    Trip 1
    Distance = 251.63 km, Bataan-Makati-Bataan
    Gas = 26.77 L (Full Tank method), Petron XCS
    FC = 9.39 km/L

    Trip 2
    Distance = 285.29 km, Bataan-Makati-Bataan
    Gas = 33.86 L (Full Tank method), Petron XCS
    FC = 8.43 km/L

    Pero kung gagamitin mo siya for daily driving sa city, tapos 1-2 passengers lang (including the driver) eh you better get a compact car na lang. Or switch to M/T or Diesel variant. But of course may Pros and Cons rin ang mga yan.

    Hi guys,

    Has anybody used Bardahl Maxtran 5000 80W-90 (API GL-5) on their transmission and differentials?

    Went to a car shop and that's what they are using for other mpvs (advie, crosswind, etc).

    Is this oil ok? Or anybody can recommend one?

    Btw, my revo is the diesel 2L.

    Thanks!

    ^Based on Revo owner's manual..

    M/T Gear Oil: SAE 75W-90, API GL-4 or GL-5
    Differential Gear Oil: SAE 90, API GL-5

    Pwede kang bumili sa casa. Toyota Differential Gear Oil is P285 per 1L bottle.

    I don't know the price for M/T Gear Oil dahil A/T yung VX200 so ATF ang gamit ko.

    Yup, basta may ECU ang sasakyan eh meron diagnostic port yan. OBD II protocol ang gamit ng Revo. OBD II protocol is for 1996 and newer cars. OBD I protocol is for 1995 and older cars.

    Defective sensors will usually trigger the Check Engine Light but not all the time. If you suspect that a sensor is malfunctioning, pwede mo pa-scan ang ECU. Based on trouble codes, malalaman kung anong sensor ang defective.

    Fuel

    Selecting the proper fuel is essential for satisfactory engine performance.

    Engine damage caused by use of improper fuels is not covered under Toyota's new vehicle waranty.

    Fuel Type

    Gasoline Engine
    You may use either of leaded or un leadead gasoline

    Diesel Engine
    Use only diesel fuel.

    Octane/ Cetane Number
    7K-E engine: Select premium leaded or unleaded gasoline with a reseach octane number of 95 or higher.

    1RZ-E engine: Select premium leaded or unleaded gasoline with a reseach octane number of 90 or higher

    Diesel Engine: Select cetane number 50 (cetane index 45) or higher

    Use of fuel with an octane or cetane number lower than stated will cause persistent heavy knocking. if severe, this will lead to engine damage.

    if your engine knocks...
    If you detect heacy knocking even when using the recommended fuel, or if you hear steady knocking while holding steady speed on level roads, consult your toyota dealer or mechanic.

    However, now and then, you may notice light knocking for a short time whle accelerating or driving up hills. This is no need of concern.

    Fuel Tank Capacity

    55 L (14.5 gal, 12.1 Imp. gal)
