Toyota Recall - Accelerator Pedal may get stuck [merged]

Ganun din sa akin. What I did was sprayed lubricant sa return spring sa clutch pedal. Nawala naman. It is located inside the car.White grease spray ko.

there's a thing called a brake pedal.

kaya maganda rin i-question kung sapat ang driver education or inadequate na ngayon .

Cars with bigger displacement engines can overpower the brakes easily.

Story reports on sudden acceleration on a 2005 Camry and a 2009 Corolla. Both causing one death each.

A few years into "fly by wire" throttle technology, we are starting to see it's dangers. It is possible this is not isolated with Toyota. I remember a few years ago a local family complained their Suzuki suddenly surged out of their garage as well.

Very sad thing to happen.... As I see it, 6th Feb ang report (ooooppppssss 3 years ago na pala ito...).... What a waste.....

And yes, there are other vehicles which are now into "drive/fly by wire".... Sana, wala namang problema....

Poor guy he was convicted and jailed for gross negligence because his car slammed to the rear end of another car which killed 3 people. This happened 1996 pa. Now the case is being reopened because it's probably Toyota's fault.

Gaano pa kaya karami ang biktima nang ganitong case? not just the victim of the crash itself but the convicted as well. Haay....

May 'drive by wire' accelerators na ba mga Toyotas in 1996? Third gen Camry model ('91-'96) na nakasangkot. Which puts it the same gen as the big body Corollas w/ used cable accelerators. Baka nakikisakay lang 'to sa problema ng Toyota.
