If you are going to bring down the tranny, might as well change the pressure plate and release bearing as well.
Dun sa timing belt, isabay mo na ang water pump and coolant flushing.

We have 2 3-dr Ravs.
Performance: Torquey
Fuel Efficiency: 8km/liter
As long as the color is not white, green, or gray... get it! though siguraduhin mo na 60k nga ang mileage... Its already a 10-year old SUV so normal driving dictates dapat mga 100,000 km. na yan pwera na lang kung marami silang tsikot or for sunday driving lang Rav nila... ours is at least 120k na and madali paayos ang mga parts na usually for replacement na like timing belt, brakes, clutch, aircon.
Reliable? Definitely... one of those few Toyotas of the 90s wherein the folks at Toyota outdid themselves in terms of engineering quality.

February 5th, 2007 02:57 AM #35Its actually green. why not any of the three colors that you mentioned sir. He has a couple of cars so i think the mileage is believable. Sana.......

For a 60,000 mileage na rav at city driving pa, don't think twice kung magpapalit ka timing belt. If you want to enjoy its engine reliability, palitan mo na timing belt just in case makuha nio kahit 60k pa lang mileage. Actually a 60K mileage city drive is worst than a 120k mileage provincial or highway drive. The biggest issue na ma e-encounter mo dian sa second hand na rav na yan is fuel efficiency. Kaya pag nakuha mo, tune up mo agad, palinis mo na MAF Sensor kung meron sia, change oil, and palit ka fuel filter.

February 7th, 2007 02:56 AM #40Thank you mga bossing for your feedbacks. am now inclined in getting this car for my everyday use. Ang cute and besides with its 2.0 ltr engine mukhang kayangkaya ang body. By the way anybody there selling his 3dr Rav4. Baka mas maganda than the one being offered to me. Thanks.
