    I read that the Philippine-spec Toyota Raize is sourced from Indonesia, not Japan. Chances are, the Mexican-spec Raize could be from Indonesia too.

    PS: Toyota sells the Avanza in Mexico.

    CBU vehicles from Japan with 3.0 liter engine and above have zero tax ...

    width is 1710mm which is a bit wider than my 1st gen ertiga at 1695mm. not bad at all.

    The article explicitly stated that the units are from Japan. Anyway, whether from Japan or from Indonesia, it is uncomforting that we are paying 20% more for the same variant of the same global vehicle...
