Not sure with innova, pero sa 2017 fortuner, parang electronic na yung control sa clutch fan.. wala na yung temp sensing spring. May bilog na sensor sa gitna yan tapos may wire connection na

No need naman mag add kung walang leak

Kung transverse-mounted ang engine, it's probably using an electric motor-driven cooling fan. My 16-yr old Vios is using one and I was able to replace the electric motor myself.

With the Innova's clutch fan, big endeavor for a DIY project, at least for me . my cousin who is a mechanic had to do it for me, assist lng ako

What i mean is hindi na "mechanical" yung pag engage and disengage ng clutch fan sa 2GD engine ng fortuner.. yes umiikot yung fan pero nadulas lang yan..

Pag mainit na titigas yung kapit ng clutch fan then madidinig mo medyo maugong yan..

Dun sa dati kasi may metal spring na pag mainit mag expand to engage the clutch fan.. sa newer models, electronic na yan

In the morning when turning the engine on, fan engages for around 2 minutes before disengaging. Before work was done on the fan clutch, it disengages barely 30s from starting the engine.

Initial issue with little silicon fluid is that AC is not as cold.

I have the 2017 1GD with a viscous fan clutch, baka iba talaga design ng Fortuner compared sa Innova. I like the electric fans better kasi mas madali i-DIY, and not as noisy sa mga engine-driven fans. Not sure which one is more efficient though :D

one sign din yan of overfilled silicon oil overtime mawawala rin pero currently it's adding unnecessary stress to the engine starting at that rpm kasi dapat disengaged na yan at that speed.

actually on mine, 1st try was done by a reputable shop, a big one actually. However, ang magaling na mekaniko, 4 18ml tubes ang inilagay, so ayon, parang nka welding si clutch kaya it spins as fast as my engine rpm all the time. so, a big yes to your question. meron pa ring mekanikong walang alam, or probably feeling may alam

ended up researching from all over and learned how the correct measurement is done, then asked help from my cousin removing/disassembling the fan clucth and filled a measured amount into its reservoir myself. now i'm happy with how the clutch performs. no more reserve thrusters sound when revving high lol

mas tama po ba na 2 18ml lang po ang dapat na ilagay sa clutch fan, pano po kaya sir ginawa niyo na procedure po? parang tatanggalin po ang laman tapos add na lang po ba ng bago silicon oil
