Most modern cars use pads that make a distinctive sound once they need replacement. To be sure, have your brakes cleaned once a year to check wear on the pads.

Yes I do check mine once a year and have brake pads replace if less than 50% thickness. Im currently using advics as many are saying bendix will eat up your rotor.

I used Bendix before on our old Honda’s (Accord, City, Jazz) and no issues encountered with rotor damage.

I replace pads when I start hearing that distinctive whining sound. I am a bit aggressive on acceleration and braking so I normally expect more wear on my pads. I am using ceramic pads now on my FXT (Brembo NAO for the front) and I’m hoping it will last longer. The stock Subaru front pads only lasted 30k km while the Project Mu metallic replacement lasted only 19k km.

The old car I had which ate pads was the Fiesta Ecoboost. I had to change front pads every 18k km. I always use Ford Motorcraft pads on it. However, that car drives like a go-kart.

    EGR cleaning
    Throttle Body cleaning
    Intake manifold cleaning
    MAF sensor cleaning

How much is the typical labor charge? since my ride is more than 110k I think I should have the above items done in my next pms.

    for what it's worth,
i get whatever the banawe boys give me. i suppose they have their reasons. for sure, it ain't bendix.
i'm an ordinary driver, and i am satisfied naman with whatever it is they installed.

meron daw talaga, maski yun suki kong auto supply dito along c.raymundo pasig aware sila. may nag attempt kasi mag consign sa kanila noon. maganda daw packaging, at kung di ka araw araw nakakahawak ng bendix di mo rin mahalata.
