October 27th, 2021 04:12 PM #14821its not me who needs to prove it, its their seat foam supplier who should have foam firmness tester that they should have on manufacturing the foam seats. if they dont have such, then they just manufacture without standards and should replace on/by demand/complaint...
Last edited by jresperanza; October 27th, 2021 at 04:15 PM.

Mas matigas ba or mas malambot ung upuan sa problem area comapred sa demo unit or may parang nakausli?

Looks like you need to check on your thermostat as dr. d mentioned. Might be stuck open. Easier to check on cooling systems with the pressure cap on the radiator itself. If that's the case for 1st gen innovas then you can check it yourself by opening the cap in the morning after starting the car. Coolant should not be flowing by when you look inside the radiator's cap hole.
2nd gens have the cap on the overflow so the same procedure above is not possible. At least from what I can see on mine. Or maybe there's a way that I don't know of.

Wondering which configuration is better between using a pressure cap on the radiator (my gen 1 vios, and all previous 90's car we had) and those having their pressure caps on the expansion tanks (I guess it's safe to say for all Innovas, Hi-Lux and Fortuners).
Anyway, my innova gets to its operating temp (~90ish Celsius) in about 10 minutes I think. Will check tomorrow when I drive the in-laws to the airport

On my Diesel 1st gen Innova, it takes forever to reach operating temp (temp needle midway through the gauge) when it's just idling. The warm-up is faster when you just drive it a few kilometers.
Still, my Civic warms up quicker, even when idling. In fact, when I switched to the Innova, I, too thought that the thermostat was faulty. That's until I tried my brother's Innova. So I'd say it's normal for this vehicle to take longer to fully warm-up.
If I were to wager a guess, it might be because of the hefty hunk of metal that is the engine block that Diesels have. It has a larger thermal mass compared to a gasoline engine so it can soak up more heat.Last edited by oj88; November 1st, 2021 at 11:16 PM.

November 4th, 2021 12:03 PM #14830kasya yung Baldwin B2 versus the BT223 na direct replacement for the Toyota oil filter. this is for the 2KD, not yet sure sa 1GD engine.
sinubukan ko ilagay sa Innova kasi marami akong inorder na B2 for the NP300, pero may minor leak kahit same thread naman
micron rating is better: B2 | BT223 and at 1.5x the length, mas maganda ang filtration.
Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier...
