oh! you mean the instrument panel!

if all of them died at once,
it's probably a fuse or a loose or broken connection.
fuse is easy. many owner's manuals have labeled diagrams.
troubleshooting the wires behind it is something else... the innova's instrument panel has a combo plug connector.

    btw,
when you said, "... no longer working..",
did you mean all the indicator needles are dead and not functioning,
or did you mean that the lights illuminating them are not working?

if the former, it's probably fuse or wiring issues.

    if the latter...
it's in the internet. youtube, i think.
... how to replace your instrument panel LED lights. specific for the innova.
you're right. signs of ageing. mine is like that. barely illuminating.
    heh heh.

    intermittent?
    probably a loose connection somewhere.
try the combo connector first. spray them with a contact cleaner.
instructions at how to get at them are in youtube.
i hope that cures the problem.
because the next step would be to open the thing. "not for the faint-hearted". it's also in youtube.
    heh heh.

Is the gauges still reading speed/tach when the optitron backlight went out?

probably loose connections iyan sa instrument panel. or the backlight needs to be replaced.

    please explain.
what does "no longer working" mean?
does it mean, all the gauges are dead? the needles are not pointing to meaningful values (as what one sees when one turns off the engine) ?
or do you mean, the illumination is dark or non-existent?
