September 7th, 2020 07:43 AM #14523well,
a tsikoteer here has opined that timing belts be replaced based on hours of engine operation in lieu of odometer readings.
which seems logical, naman.
i replaced my belt at 130K km, which is still less than the manual's recommendation.
i wonder,
is the innova engine a non-interference design?
if the timing belt breaks, there is no danger that the valves will hit on the pistons.Last edited by dr. d; September 7th, 2020 at 08:51 AM.

The question now is, at what point does the T-BELT indicator comes up and should you just wait for it before replacing the belt?
