Yes but here in Philippines city driving heavy traffic so toyota sales advisor told me before to divide it in half the recommended change interval for t-belt but not only t-belt but for other pms schedule as well.

    well,
a tsikoteer here has opined that timing belts be replaced based on hours of engine operation in lieu of odometer readings.
    which seems logical, naman.

i replaced my belt at 130K km, which is still less than the manual's recommendation.

    i wonder,
is the innova engine a non-interference design?
if the timing belt breaks, there is no danger that the valves will hit on the pistons.

Yes 150k accordin to manual in ideal driving condition but our driving condition here is different and is considered as severe.

The question now is, at what point does the T-BELT indicator comes up and should you just wait for it before replacing the belt?

The t-belt light comes up at 150k and you just need to reset it. But you should replaced it much earlier as advised by toyota SA.

i compared the cost if done at casa, and if done outside casa.
    medyo hindi naman nagkakalayo.
