Ok, will Toyota suffer the same fate? We all don't know for sure, maybe mazdamazda will know, tell us naman mazdamazda.
One more thing mazdamazda, Trooper,Fortuner, Innova, what we are comparing here is the diesel injectors not the horsepower nor the torque, we are focusing on the problems experienced on the vehicles(like Trooper). Of course Fortuner and Innova has yet to be seen since its quite new in the market. Peace be with you mazdamazda.

June 16th, 2005 01:06 PM #1552I chose diesel because:
1. Mas matipid ang diesel fuel kesa gasoline plus more mileage, 9.5 km/l. sa city and
13-14 km/l. sa highway.
2. Mas malakas sa akyatan lalo na kapag full load ng passengers.
3. And also naka turbo charge pa and diesel engine ng Innova, ang bilis sa highway.
4. And lastly, mas madaling ibenta after 5 years at mas maganda re sale value.
Kaya I suggest you go for the diesel engine innova kahit medyo mas mataas ang price.

I made some rough computation. The P50k difference is not really a savings if you would consider the resale values. So, I think your 5-year assumption is not correct. It is still cheaper to have a diesel engine from day 1. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Let's take these considerations:
No. of years of usage : 5 yrs.
Average km/day : 91.31 kms (based on 100T km in 3 years warranty)
Average Km/L with corresponding Price/Liter:
Gas: 9Km/L, PhP 29.50/Liter
Diesel: 12Km/L, PhP 27.50/Liter
Accumulated Km in 5 years =166,666 Km
Consumption:
Gas: 166,666 Km/ 9 Km/L X 29.50 PhP/L = PhP 546,294.09
Diesel: 166,666 Km/ 12 Km/L X 27.50 PhP/L = PhP 381,943.00
Based on these results, PhP164,351 can be saved on diesel.
However, to brake the Php 50,000 difference between gas & diesel, the accumulated Km should be approximately 50,704.175 Km.
Gas : 50,704.175 Km/ 9 Km/L X 29.50 PhP/L = PhP 166,197.01
Diesel: 50,704.175 Km/ 12 Km/L X 27.50 PhP/L = PhP 116,197.06
The difference is PhP 50,000.
Mga bro, this is just my personal approach based on fuel consumption only. This excludes maintenance, resale value and other things. Any version are most welcome here.Last edited by busy road; June 17th, 2005 at 03:02 PM.
