Thanks for the input on your choice of engine, guys. Since I live in the province and drive on the highway almost every day, I think I'll still opt for the diesel variant. In 3 years I was able to log 80,000 km on my Sedona, so I think I'll be able to recoup the additional amount that the diesel model costs in a short span of time. Plus, I like torquey engines, great for passing those slow tricycles and what-not on McArthur Hiway
However, from bongliza's post I discovered that the Hilux J is actually cheaper than the Innova J, so now I'm really confused. Gusto ko rin sana ng mataas na sasakyan kasi hindi biro ang mga baha dito sa probinsya pag bumagyo. Decisions, decisions

2. Trooper. may dalawang friend ko after 2 years na di masyado gamit, sira na ang Injector and costing around more than 50K ang palit.
3. Base sa Isuzu Manila, parati wala silang parts.
4. Mas walang drag ang shifting ng automatic ng Innova kaysa Trooper.
I hope this will help. Peace!!!

June 15th, 2005 03:49 PM #15381. the 4JX1 3.0 is CRDi already,
2. true, kcboy's trooper shares the same sentiment, actually its the philippines diesel DAW is the culprit.
3. for Trooper or any isuzu for that matter, maramng parts sa Walco sa banawe or Jayson sa Binondo
4.havent driven a A/T Trooper yet but e my 1997 Isuzu Trooper 4JG2 3.1 TDiC will kick butt of any 2.5 TDIcCRDI chuvaness out there

Comparing the Fortuner & Trooper, hindi nagkakalayo ang non-CRDi & CRDi. No contest when you compare it with the Innova.
