been using sea oil diesel with bioexceed, seems matipid and ok response off idle to mid rpm 1000-2200.. been getting 11.5-12.5 km per liter. me diesel clatter lang mas malutong kesa vpower diesel na more silent on idle pero me konting fuel knock minsan. In terms of performance, me hataw ang sea oil kumpara vpower below 2200 kahit mainit panahon. Mas ramdam mo lang yung vpower pag malamig ang panahon and above 3k rpm. Not yet tried sea oil above 3k.

Sa cranking naman morning cold start, kaya ng vpower one click. sa seaoil minsan mga 1 redondo pero minsan 2. Original glow plugs since 98 kaya mga 60% na lang performance ng plugs. Since last refuel, 70% seaoil 30% vpower ang laman ng tangke.

sa mga common rail 1kd-ftv/2kd-ftv owners, musta performance ng vpower diesel sa rig ninyo?

Share ko lang ulit. Satisfied naman ako sa 2.5 G the last time na umakyat ako ng Aurora. On the first gear, rev up to 2.5k to 3k pag steep (coming from a complete halt, may mga break kase from rough to cement) then sabay kabig sa second gear para bumagsak yung rpm to ~1500 where the highest torque can be felt. Even sa mga constant uphills kaya na ng 3rd gear. Next test is to go Casiguran, sabay white sand beach. hehe. Paano mag upload ng photo dito? May max size ba? thanks!

    * agentrambo007, nice shots sir. and nice rig too. kahit stock ang ganda talaga ng hilux. thumbs up!

*hilux8, congrats sa upgrade sir. good choice in your tires, cooper is one of the best tires and choice of land rover offroaders too. as fair as i know wala pang effect yung mga upgrades mo sa fuel consumption, non bearing pa siya to factor in to your fc. pic naman jan sir =)

Yep sir ang porma nga ng Hilux kahit stock lang, ganda ng tindig. Di naman siya ganun ka underpowered like what others say. Sa ahunin more than adequate, sa overtaking, ok na basta you have general knowledge nung power/torque band niya. Para saken, swak na siya for daily use and weekend trips to the province, though bumpy talaga, but you will realize how rock solid it is when you hit the pothole-ridden dirt roads na. Ang tipid pa. Can't believe na I am having a mileage of 13 to 14 km/L na from a mere 9 km/L from Day one. And PMS is cheap!

Sir around 13 to 14 km/L. That is 2200 km on the odo pa lang. Mag improve pa siguro through time. Mas matipid ang 2.5G sa city/2-lane provincial roads kesa sa highway, don't know why but siguro due to hataw on highways (like startoll/sctex/nlex/slex).

But note lang, depends pa rin how you drive like manner in pressing the pedal, how you shift through the gears, hard stopping etc.

    HTH

May tiningnan ako kanina 2010 Hilux 2.5 G 4x2 with my dad napansin ko sa instument cluster umiilaw yun CHECK ENGINE LIGHT :| ang sabi sakin change oil lang daw peor di ako naniniwala na ganun lang yun at natatakot ako baka may iba pang sira.I test drove it every may bump may tumutunog na "squeak sa likod" sabi ng may-ari yun sa upuan lang daw yun sa likod. ano kaya to? san kaya ako makakahanap ng maganda at sariwang hilux? di na kasi kailangan ng brand new since after 1 year pinapalitan ko na minsan mas maaga pa kaya sayang naman resale value sobrang laki ng talo ko. I know this is ot pero which is better Toyota Hilux 4x2 G or Isuzu Dmax 4x2 LS? sa dalawa lang choice ko since subok na ng dad ko toyota since early 70s and isuzu dati kasi may pick-up kame na Isuzu. Thanks for the reply more power :D
