    Toyota releases more images of new GR 86 -AUTOINDUSTRIYA

    Over in Japan, the GR 86 is available in three trims – RZ, SZ, and RC. The RZ comes with larger 18-inch wheels, which are styled similar to the GR Yaris. The SZ rides on smaller 17-inch wheels, while the RC is the stripped-out, bare-bones variant that comes with 16-inch steelies.
    and i thought steelies are dead already. well it isn't.

    of course they aren't!
    every other taxi, and many owners', have 'em, hiding behind plastic wheel covers.
    but i am wondering, why that sports-type car above, sports 'em.
    heh heh.

    nice thing about steelies,
    hindi sila masyadong nakaw-in.

    yup meron na vios GR.. pero wala pa ako nakikita sa daan.. sana ang toyota nilagay yan GR badge dun sa limited models na talagang GR ang dating..

    kung sa vios, dapat manual at mas malaki engine tapos may performance package talaga.. hindi yung puro body kits lang.. pati yata wigo may GR version na puro body kits lang eh

    tapos sa SUV/PPV ibang term na lang kasi hindi naman pang rezzing rezzing yan eh..

    Those are sold to racing teams. In addition to steelies, they got hand-cranked windows and no AC since the teams will just strip them anyway. I lived next door to a Toyota dealership in Japan and they had one of these bare 86s on display.

    "GR" = Performance model
    "GR Sport" = Appearance package/bodykit, sometimes with minor suspension upgrades.

    If you hear of news regarding a new "GR Sport" model, don't expect much performance-wise.
