September 11th, 2017 09:59 AM #85i've downloaded an app (iOS) that tracks the average speed. i just started this morning and so far:
Start Time: 5:37am
End Time: 7:36am
Max Speed: 86.00kmh
Avg Speed: 18.70kmh
Moving Time: 1:57:13
Waiting Time: 0:01:52
Route: Imus > Mandaluyong > Makati
not sure about the waiting time though... the APP is called Speedometer HD (GPS Speed Tracker) by AppAspect Technologies.
for my full tank to full tank, my average days is 10 days. i rarely use the VIOS during weekends.

September 11th, 2017 12:54 PM #86Wow... talk about technology.
If the results for average speed are truly GPS-based, then I think it's safe to say that it's more reliable than MIDs' average speed figures.
Now I realize: it would have been better if I also record my travel time per day (since I use my Altis exclusively for going to work). On second thought, perhaps that would only make sense if I strictly traverse the same road every day.

September 12th, 2017 09:52 AM #88yup... it's GPS based and it's records your route in a map... all function of the APP is unlocked but with ads...
pahinga muna si VIOS dahil maulan, may baha kasi sa mga usual route ko... pero ung pauwi ko kagabi eh nasa 19.7 kmh ung average speed ko... nag CAVITEX ako all the way through Kawit dahil heavy traffic ung exit pa Aguinaldo highway...

September 12th, 2017 02:40 PM #90Just a few personal notes from my last fuel consumption:
- The low fuel warning lit up when my tripmeter was at 350.9 km (around 50 km short vs. historical data).
- It's the first time since June 1 that my average speed is at 12 kph (3 kph slower vs. historical data).
- Given the traffic and slower average speed, my last full tank was only good for 8 weekdays/weeknights.
