ngayon dinala ng erpat ko yung fortuner sa lemery... so far, so good sabi nya... malakas humatak sa bundok ng tagaytay at pati overtaking hindi raw nahihirapan. pero still under observation pa rin yung fortuner... pag pumalpak pa rin daw sabi ni erpat, he'll sue TMPC... hindi niya aatrasan kahit mag-alok ng out-of-court setllement...

tnx but im more after the model(2.5 or 3.0L fortuner diesel ba?), month, and year that it was bought to provide somewhat of a "baseline" kung natugunan na yung problema ng crdi.

    salamat po!

Sir, we can never say if kelan magkakaroon ng problems ang mga model na ito. Kahit 2007 sya nabili and kasama sya sa 1st batch na naimport dito and nastock lang sa planta that has a problem then we can never be sure if ok ito. Also kahit 2007 sya naimport dito pero ung parts nya that is problematic ay kasama dun sa mga batches with defects ay hindi rin tayo makakasigurado. We cant really tell...

true, we cant really tell. problems are bound to arise as with any other vehicle.

but knowing what batch, model, or month/year it was most prevalent and see that later releases are having fewer problems is something future buyers will certainly take into consideration. toyota will certainly address and cannot afford an on going PR disaster left unattended.

eventually, it is still a risk, no question about it. for future buyers of fortuner CRDIs, however, this is about lessening the probability of purchasing a "lemon".

i'd rather have a flashlight or even just a candle, albeit not sufficient, than walk in the dark with nothing at all.

thanks for taking time out to share your ideas.

    PEACE!

Enrico, just get the VVTI if you really want a Fort.

If you really want a CRDi, get another brand. Topnotch CRDis are by BMW & Hyundai (both from Bosch and BorgWarner Turbo systems).

Mitsu Di-D is Denso like Toyota D-4D but so far, no owner has said anything wrong about it yet (hopefully none because it's one good looking truck).

Ford's Duratorq seems to be good too not sure though what brand they implemented.
