peeps, talked to a toyota sales agent at the car show at alabang festival mall. if ever a client inquires about a fortuner 4x2 d4d, they would suggest to purchase instead the vvti or the 4x4 d4d. common knowledge na daw yung problem sa 2.5 d4d. my vvti is nearing the 16,000 km odo reading. still no problems.

And another one bites the dust...

We brought in my Tito's '05 Innova 2.5 a/t last Saturday with complaints of stalling durng cold starts... without checking anything or batting an eyelash one of the techies said that the supply will be changed once they verify it during a cold start.

Mileage: 15,000kms (kakatapos lang ng 15K service a week or so before).

But I still see lots of 2.5 D4-D units on the streets, even more frequent than the 2.7 vvti.

I just want to share this, Two of my colleagues buy Innova last January, one of them has 2k on ODO reading and she also complaining about failed starting. The other one is lucky enough, 16k on ODO reading and dont have any problem. Maybe Toyota dont have any idea what batch has this problem, maybe this is the reason why there is no recall.

btw, about P2,600+ ang labor (P500), rags, sandpaper, fuel additive, oil additive, engine detailing (P600), plus 12% tax == P3,000. may dala pala akong 7.5 liters na mobil 1 0w-40 fully syn. cguro pag sa casa pa ang oil, aabot ng P5,000 ang 10T KM checkup ko

cguro yng fuel additive na nilalagay nila eh para ma-prevent yng engine stalling dahil sa lubrication problem on the fuel pump
    Sir jagxtrm,

Magkano po yung bili mo ng mobil 1 0w-40 fully syn? Malapit na din kasi ako magpaservice for 10T km check up. Thanks
