How do I know if they reset my ECU? when I ask what the real problem pinapaikot ikot kc yun answer niya sa akin, wala naman daw problem sa fuel pump n so on.... so sinabi ko na marami na ako alam nag ganyan cases esp. sa innova , same pa rin sa alibi niya ,check daw nila using IT2.... (ano ba yun IT2??? ) ok daw fuel pump n etc.... , so sinabi ko na lang ibabalik ko na lang once hard starting ulit

    niwde11,

Oo nga sayang indi ako naka-attend pero syempre may sariling findings ang oil co. tungkol dyan.

    Fortuner13,

Standard procedure yata ng Toyota yan, they will "Intialize" your ECU first then kung hindi ka na bumalik dahil ok na unit mo ligtas sila sa ng isang supply pump syempre negosyo yan. The same thing happen to me first Initialize after a few weeks bumalik ang problema obligado sila na palitan kaya lang yong warranty officer na kausap ko medyo maagap kahit hindi pa kelangan order na daw nya ako ng parts kasi daw matagal dumating kaya bigay agad ako tip, yon morethan one month dumating ang parts. Pero I know someone after they Initialize na wala na ang problema until today no problem that was december last year pa. Baka naman same thing will happen to you, Mas maganda parin yong hindi nagalaw yong engine room mo. Syempre mas masarap ang virgin diba?

hi larshell, kami ni altec still use biodiesel in our d4d innova. Nagkita-kita kaming lahat sa biodiesel seminar (at Chemrez) parang tuloy na EB ng tsikot.com at kotse.com biodiesel users.

We believe that the use of biodiesel must have mitigated our supply pump problem - simply looking at the lubricity angle.

I used biodiesel on my d4d innova from 2,000 odo to 6,000 odo then stopped temporarily due to caution posted in this thread. I resumed using biodiesel again at 9,000 odo. Now I'm at 10,400 odo - one-click start pa rin and so far no problem.

A good question to ask is : Are there biodiesel users here who had the choking problem with their d4d innova?

(altec and I want to test our lubricity theory if it will hold)

I also use biodiesel because I have a heavy right foot. During city driving. I only use 1% bd blend ratio but when I go on out-of-town trips, I load up to 5% bd blend ratio para instantaneous yung throttle response ng turbo-diesel (parang gas-powered engine yung acceleration at walang lag whatsoever). Thanks to it's cetane index of 70 (vs. 51 for petroleum diesel).

yung table pinost ni jaeger, the microns on the lubricity row means the amount of wear on the bearing. Therefore, the bigger the micron count, the more wear. That's why with a higher BD dose, the micron count goes down.

Larshell, ito yung pinost ko duon sa biodiesel fuel economy result thread over at kotse.com:

the following are my innova's fuel economy results. 55 liter tank capacity.

    06/11/05 mileage start: 1586, 350km travelled, 36.03 liters 7.6km/liter
    06/26/05 mileage 1987, 401 km, 47.31 liters, 8.47km/liter
    06/30/05 mileage 2138, 151 km, 18.24 liters, 8.28km/liter
    07/15/05 mileage 2550, 412 km, 47.52 liters, 8.28km/liter
    07/26/05 mileage 2895 345 km, 45.84 liters, 7.53km/liter
    08/09/05 mileage 3288 393 km, 47.95 liters, 8.2km/liter
    08/24/05 mileage 3706 418 km, 49.5 liters, 8.44km/liter BIODIESEL 1ST LOAD BD1%

    09/10/05 mileage 4108 402km, 40.0 liters 10.05km/liter
    09/24/05 mileage 4514 406km 44.8 liters, 9.06km/liter CHOKING PROBLEM EXPERIENCED
    10/10/05 mileage 4850 335km, 40 liters, 8.4km/liter
    10/21/05 mileage 5252 398km, 42.4 liters, 9.48km/liter
    10/29/05 mileage 5576 323km, 38.1 liters, 8.50km/liter
    11/10/05 mileage 5938 362km, 44.7 liters, 8.09km/liter
    11/22/05 mileage 6314 376km, 44.3 liters, 8.48km/liter

Estimate ko by this time, estrol in our overhead tank was used up, and shift to bioactiv

    12/02/05 mileage 6714 399km, 43.5 liters, 9.19km/liter
    12/12/05 mileage 7119 405km, 47.2 liters, 8.58km/liter

From this point on, lumipat ako ng bahay.

    12/20/05 mileage 7540 420 km, 48.8liters, 8.62km/liter
    1/02/06 mileage 7939 399km, 41.3 liters, 9.66km/liter
    1/10/06 mileage 8326 387km, 40.0 liters 9.67km/liter
    1/17/06 mileage 8796 470km, 48.4 liters, 9.67km/liter
    1/24/06 mileage 9224 428km, 44.3 liters, 9.66km/liter
    2/01/06 mileage 9662 438km, 46.5 liters, 9.41km/liter
    2/08/06 mileage 10177 515km, 51 liters, 10.09km/liter

From the above data, there is a significant improvement in fuel economy of up to 1km/liter than without biodiesel. This excludes the better fuel economy achieved paglipat ko ng bahay, so didn't include this in the comparison because its a different route condition.

Another significant point here is the choking problem encountered on the 3rd week of September that I mentioned. UP TO NOW, the choking problem never recurred. I theorized together with Jaeger, that the lubricity improvement (1%BD increases diesel fuel lubricity by 32% as claimed by Mr. Galindo during the Bioactiv seminar), this helped lubricate the suspected spring defect in the CRDI system.

In Davao, I know a certain Mike Autoparts is a dealer of estrol brand made by senbel. Better if you google or yahoo senbel and chemrez for their website, I forgot the actual website address. In their websites, they have a list of nationwide dealers and distributors for their bd brand in your locality. I believe both of these manufacturers have a nationwide network, Mindanao included.

    jaeger,
na try ko yong ibang brand ng BD sa MonteroSports ko, base on my observation talagang nag improve ang emision and engine performance. Fuel consumption is remains to be seen. When you stop using BD did you feel any diff interms of engine noise and vibration?

    Altec,
Pano ka naka attend ng seminar ng BD diba taga IloIlo ka? O.T.
