    Read somewhere in these threads that the Hi-Ace is not exempted from the problem.

    LC D-4D is quite new in the market and only a fortunate few can buy them to start with.

    even in other country where diesel is even very clean compare here in philippines, d4d still has a problem, so dont believe the toyota dealers that the reason for this woes is the dirty diesel. toyota is a s_it!

    I started experiencing lousy acceleration a few months ago on my Innova (bought aug 2005). Dito lang sa basement parking sa condo, may rampa paakyat to get to the exit level... dumadalas na kakailanganin ko talaga ng buwelo para lang hindi mabitin sa gitna.. although nung dati eh kahit alang buwelo ay walang problema...

    Even on the expressway (I drive daily sa NLEX)... ang tagal na rin nya mag accelerate... nung dati na pitikin ko lang accelerator then it will shift up na... then ramdam mo na agad na nag accelerate sya, now, hirap talaga sya....


    I posted this issue in a different thread and ang feedback is check ko muna emissions kung nagbabago o umiitim.. this would be a good sign na engine (CRDi) related ang problem.. so far wala naman akong napapansin na pagkakaiba sa emissions nya...


    the innova is now at the casa for 110kms PMS. Pina tignan ko na rin yung intermittent na ingay na nagmumula sa engine bay (which I am just informed today na alternator pulley problem).. I was advised na ayusin muna yung alternator pulley problem (palit ng pulley, belt, tensioner) and then go back to road test to see kung related ito sa acceleration problem... the advised seemed reasonable enough kaya pina go ko na... i'll wait tomorrow to get feedback after the pulley is fixed...


    initially kasi, ang diagnosis was fuel injection problem, of which I know will cost 2 arms and 2 legs...

    what are my options if I want to be sure na yun talaga ang problem? pinaka mahirap kasi na mangyari is after na mapalitan injector, dun lang malalaman na hindi pala injector ang problema... at may iba pa palang problem o talagang walang kinalaman sa injector yung problem at binebentahan lang ako ng bagay na hindi ko naman kailangan... *araykupo*...

    any leads?

    no hurt feeling but sell your innova na, sasakit ulo mo tlga dyan, parang trooper yan.

Well? Was the acceleration problem fixed after replacement of alternator pulley and accessories?

    what are my options if I want to be sure na yun talaga ang problem? pinaka mahirap kasi na mangyari is after na mapalitan injector, dun lang malalaman na hindi pala injector ang problema... at may iba pa palang problem o talagang walang kinalaman sa injector yung problem at binebentahan lang ako ng bagay na hindi ko naman kailangan... *araykupo*... It is ok to install a trial part for fault verification purposes. But if the trial part does not correct the problem, Toyota should not compel you to buy it as your part was not faulty after all..... and this is part of the troubleshooting process. Customers should not pay for a workshops misdiagnosis.

    any leads? Talk to the service manager about this...

    I got the innova back na.. the intermittent noise at the engine bay was fixed na.. but the diagnosis on the acceleration problem is still injectors...

    Hindi ko pa nakausap yung service manager... dun pa lang ako sa SA... ang estimate sa pag papa ayos ay aabot ng 150k.. injectors per piece was quoted at about 27k .. times 4 so dun pa lang almost 110k na... fuel line pa, etc..

    hindi naman nila na identify supply pump as a culprit, although sa kwento nya, right now daw, there are 4 cases na kasabay ko na mukhang supply pump / injector issues daw... nakwento nya rin na may isang case na naka pending pa at nakikipag negotiate pa yung may ari.. but supply pump issue and injector issue on the same engine.. naghahalo na daw yung diesel sa engine oil...

    anyway, i asked around sa relative ko rin who's into buy and sell sa cars for the current selling / buying rate for an innova and i got a number na.. more or less will study my options...

    ang hirap kasi, almost all diesels are now using CRDi... sa Ford naka TDCi, yung isuzu naka CRDi na rin ata ang DMax, Alterra and Trooper.. Crosswind na lang ata ang hindi naka CRDi... Hyundai din I think nagkaka problem na rin sa CRDi... so ano pa ibang option na diesel? Kia? if I go gas, well.. pag passenger car lang sana okay.. but kung for family (van or midsize SUV), iilan lang ang choices...

    I'm thinking now na kapag nagkaroon ako ng time, baka ipa diagnose ko rin sa ibang casa.. just to get a 2nd opinion...

    lahat daw ng crdi eh meron problem khit anung car pa yan, di pa raw perfect tlga ang crdi , nagkakaproblem sa mga rubber kasi diba crdi uses high pressure, dun ata nag kaka problem, kaya mas ok na mag gas kso ang mahal.

    Sir ganyan din nangyari sa starex ko crdi injector problem din sabe na hyundai manila bay is kailangan palitan daw ung injector 27k din ang isa. ung pumunta ako sa kia pasay witch na same lang sila ng engine nh sorento sabe sakin ng mechanic doon injector washer problem lang daw un kaya nag uubos ng oil ung starex ko. kaya ung pinagawa ko sakanila ung starex gumastos lang ako ng less then 4000k at so far 150000km na ungvan ko ok pa rin siya ung 97000km siya ginawa dati.
