I back read on this topic and came upon this post you
    made, mjm0721.

I remember reading about the Mitsubishi Fuel System Cleaner
    here at Tsikot.com.

I got two such bottles from Citimotors Pasong Tamo (in front
of Don Bosco, Makati) - around Php400-500 ang isa.

I poured the contents of 1 bottle of the product nung
nagpa-full tank ako. I don't know if its just me pero may napansin
at naramdaman akong improvement in the idling and hatak
    ng car agad.

When it was time for another full tank, i poured the contents of
    the 2nd bottle.

Yun din ang nasa-isip ko, Ghosthunter.

And before what my brother told me, i absolutely had no idea
na may lalagariin sa brackets ng car ko to make way
for the surplus compressor. Parang natakot ako dun, sa totoo lang.

Btw, am i correct that when replacing the compressor
with a new one, the expansion valve and drier should also be replaced? Should the whole AC system be cleaned, too?

A surplus compressor is a gamble. It can serve you for a few months to a few years until something inside it fails. It is a used part. Also since the specs might not be the same, the cooling effect might not be the same. It could even lead to other problems later on.

    I see. Thanks, Ghosthunter!

*Your thoughts and ideas, as well as the others posted
here by fellow Tsikot members, have helped me so much
    with my concerns.

With regards to the A/C, I noticed one thing yesterday,
halos di na nag-au-automatic yung A/C - lagi lang siyang
    naka-engaged.

Kung dati eh full-stop ako, at blower na lang ang lumalabas
sa vents, this time it is different. Totally different.
Naka-engaged pa rin siya at cool/cold air ang lumalabas sa vents.

Pag naka-go na ako, tuloy pa rin ang pagkaka-engaged
    ng A/C - di siya nag-au-automatic.

Then after some time, magiging blower na lang ang lumalabas
sa vent. After about 10-12 minutes, cold air na uli.

Compressor concern din ba ito, guys?

    Margaret,

I got the throttle body cleaned today at a shop in Alabang. Still no improvement, andun pa rin ang vibration. I will try to look for that Fuel System cleaner that you used. What is the brand? Was this the reason na nawala ang nginig ng car mo?

    TIA.

    3. After starting the car, I turn on the A/C, then drive. Ok naman
ang lamig (nasa 1 setting lang ako parati). However, I noticed
na pag natrapik ako, full stop, blower na lang ang nararamdaman
    ko (wala na yung lamig).

Di na rin nag-auautomatic yung A/C. I tried putting the A/C setting
into 2, 3, and 4 - kaso ganun pa rin.

Babalik na lang to normal operation yung A/C pag tumatakbo na uli
    ang car.

What could be the problem, guys? Please help!

this may be "normal" for some toyotas of this vintage. go to an honest and knowledgeable aircon shop and tell the guy about it. he will make some electrical connection changes.

Paki check na rin kung gumagana auxillary fan mo. O pa check mo na lang muna sa aircon repair shop para makita kung ano dahilan sa problema mo sa aircon.
