November 16th, 2015 04:39 PM #451hi mga sir! a newbie question about timing belt replacement.
1 ArmorMark Timing Belt (117 teeth)
1 GMB Roller Tensioner Bearing
2 Camshaft Seal (35 x 49 x 6)
1 Front Crankshaft Seal (32 x 46 x 6)
1 GMB Water Pump with Gasket
1 Valve Cover Gasket
4 Spark Plug Tube Seals
4 Grommets
thanks in advance

timing belt = P1.5k to P1.8K OEM
oil seals (camshaft at crankshaft) = P250 to P450 OEM
labor fee = P1.5k to P1.8K
sa tensioner hindi ko na matandaan.

March 31st, 2016 09:59 PM #454tanong lang, meron akong toyota corolla lovelife. Kaka lowered lang with maxspeed tapos kyb gas type shocks. Any advice without changing the mags and tires (17" 205/50)?

July 21st, 2016 01:45 AM #457gloss over the car sellers' ads, po, to give you an idea of the range of prices.
try olx.
but go see the cars in the flesh. only then can you see if the car is really good or truly bad, and (hopefully) you will see how condition reflects price.
one thing i can say about old cars... the older the car, the higher the chance of something needing fixing up. yes yes... there are exceptions. and that exception is what we want to buy.
lastly, when you buy an older car, be aware that even if you restore it to factory spec, it might still feel like an older car. that is because your efforts are limited by the technology when that car was first built.
for example, a factory spec gli might (heaven forbid!) not be as nice to drive as a poorly maintained altis. (hey guys, example lang! don't get mad...)
good luck.Last edited by dr. d; July 21st, 2016 at 02:05 AM.

Thank you sir dr. d, may nakikita po ako about around 100k ~ 150k thru online
yung budget ko mga sir/ma'am is around 120k, sakto na po ba ito for a good condition and good for long run?
I'll bring some of my friends and mekaniko to also check the car
syempre pagOk na lahat, I'll have it full check up (double check lang po dahil this would be my first car nga po..just to make sure all are good at kung my papaltan mapapaltan na po)

July 21st, 2016 11:51 PM #459it is always prudent to have some money left over, for fixin's. 20K, siguro.
a car that old and that cheap, can not be in pristine condition. there will surely be something you will notice the first week, that you want fixed, if only for safety's sake.
next year na yung for beauty's sake.
and, oh! buy the most expensive you can afford. these usually offer less repair problems, than the cheaper ones.
as the benz aficionado said, "the most expensive MB is the cheap one".
