got my gli's timing belt replaced sa toyorama last sat pati mga oil seals para wala nang tagas so far ok naman. engine support naman next ok ba yung RB brand na engine support diko alam kung tama spelling sabi lang kasi ng mekaniko ok daw wala kasi silang jac na engine support mangining na kasi makina ko front and back kailangan.

yung timing belt binili ko sa toyota san fernando for 1600 ung labor for the change of timing belt is 650 sa mechanic na gumagawa sa harapan ng toyorama may mga oil seals na pinalitan and tensioner bearing tska pinapalitan ko pa oil seal ng distributor ko inabot yata ng 6k pero di lalampas dun. ung mga oil seals at bearing kay toyorama ko binili.

Mga sirs,

Ask ko lang kung saan pwedeng magpagawa ng oil leak sa loob ng distributor ng GLi. Twice ko ng pinagawa pero meron pa ring leak. Changed the distributor oil seal twice na rin, repacement lang pero ginamit since wala akong mahanap na orig. Saan din kaya makakahanap ng orig na distributor oil seal ng 4A-FE?

Good day fellow ae101 owners!

I have a ae101 95 model GLi stock engine, no mods done.

Meron akong onting tanong sa mga GLi owners.

1. FC in city and highway driving
2. Idling setting, with and without aircon
- this confuses me a lot, may nagsasabing mechanic na okei nmn daw ang 900 (w/o AC) and 1000 (w/AC)
and may nagsasabi din na ang okei is 800 (w/o AC) and 900-950 (w/AC)
- malaki din kasi effect nito sa overall FC ng auto, kaya gusto ko talaga malaman kung ano ang inyo and kung
ano tlga and right setting para maapply ko sa car
- currently kasi asa 900(w/o AC) and 1000(w/AC) naka set ang akin.
3. engine oil used.

1. FC, sa akin normally ranges from 6-7 city, 10-12 hi way, at depende yan sa bigat ng paa mo. If you like to race as this car has the notorious habit of giving when you demand, your FC will surely drop. Average economical speed of 4AFE is methink nasa 85-90 kph. when you race the car to 120 - 140 range, your FC drops down.

2. Idling setting, usually 800 w/o AC, then will rise to 1000 with A/C. Hence OK na yang setting ng sa oto mo

3. Normally, I just use regular oil, sa petron lang ako nag papa change oil, pag me pera yung rallye pag wala, yung touring class nila. I just see to it that I change oil 3-4 months depende sa usage ng sasakyan. and, I don't use the engine flush additive prior to oil change. pag sinusunod mo naman ang recommended oil change period/mileage, there is a small chance that the oil in the crankcase will develop into sludge.

At sa nag tanong re oil leak sa distributor, have experienced this. the mechanic have the distrubutor assembly removed and brought to a machine shop for machining process then changed the O-ring seal.

Now, the car's OK ang present concern ko lang is the PS pump na maingay pag nag turn ka ng wheel dahil natuyu-an ito minsan ng PS fluid ng pumuitok ang hose. And I have to s.......y to drive the car to the hydraulics repair shop w/o removing the belt in the pump. I...T (he-he)

I see.. 6-7km/L pala sayo.

Actually the last i checked, 6 something kilometers per liter lang ang nacompute ko,
ito ung time na nagpapagawa ako ng makina after ko mabili sa last owner,
rev dito at rev duon, test drive dito, test drive duon,
kaya siguro nag drop ng 6km/L.

ang expected ko kasi mga 8-9km/L city driving,
kala ko ako lang ang nakakakuha ng 6-7km/L, hindi pala.
tama lang pala setting ng auto ko.

ang route ko pala is QC to Espana Manila, speed ko is max na ang 60kph sa QC, pagdating ng manila, hindi aabot sa 60, hehe. sa mga inner streets ako dumadaan and as usual na stop and go, stop and go, ayun nakacontribute pa siguro ng mababang FC.

ngayon mas ok na ang condition ng makina, magcocompute ako ulit, then ill post it here

FC city between 8-9km/L
hway approx between 12-14km/L MAX 5PAX wd hataw from manila to marine base. Gas up for 600 using petron xcs. Btw i use xcs or xtreme97 fuel. All stock unit fastest i hit was 180km/h at 5,xxx rpm kaya pa e me nginig lang sa manibela na curious lang ako kung hangang saan ang kaya
