yep! so if you drive 20,000 a year, which is not a lot, then you'd have to visit the stealership 4x a year. crazy!
there was a thread about this just recently
so yes do consider a honda. or a ford. or a chevy. in fact the chevy spin DIESEL has a 10,000 / 6-month interval
so before the toyota fanboys react, yes hyundai's policy is even worse ;)

February 23rd, 2014 08:08 PM #14AFAIK, What gets it going for toyota is that the pms is cheaper compared to other brands, with all the miscellaneous stuff removed. Altis-Cruze Civic in comparison.
Anyway, most dealerships will try to coerce you to bring your unit more frequently if you are uninformed. I inquired recently with a SA how frequent a specific SUV should be maintained and contrary to owners' posts here, he mentioned the same 5k / 6 month time table.

So far i never heard na may na-void ang warranty dahil hindi sinunod yung 6 months PMS sa toyota. Mas vigilant sila mileage.

There are times when I would go above 5,000 but below 6000. I NEVER had any problems claiming warranty. When I had a problem with my AC after the warranty period, it was still honored since I first reported the problem within warranty. If it's convenient for you TS, I would recommend Toyota Pasig/Shaw. Maayos sila kausap.
