bro I think tama ka na 97 yung latest model for FX Tamaraw. I have the Diesel 2C 97 GL model.

yung link mo 2002 model na standard pa mas mukhang luma pa kaysa 97 ko. hahaha

I've seen Tamaraw FX's na ang model is upto year 2000, but not as late as 2002, and yes, mga standard model fx's ang usually mga huling nirelease,
mga sobrang stock lang na hindi nabenta ng toyota.

the best thing to do is check the unit and confim mo sa OR/CR,
    or
kita naman plate number, text mo sa LTO, for the vehicle's information.

Musta mga 97 GL nyo katsikot? I'm canvassing for one. Family use sana and for business purposes din. I have a friend who swears by his fx. Napakadali daw imaintain. At first i was considering a 2000 adventure but then its a little over my budget of 200k. So i was thinking if i get a well maintened 97 GL baka mas swak for my needs.

So far my 97 GL (gas) still runs great. Lately I used it from Laguna to UP Diliman and Back and forth (with some travelling at Las Piñas prior and after Diliman), and my overall gas consumption was P800 (aircon always on), which I think was pretty fair already. Though this car might not be as comfortable as the others, but it still gets the job done (hindi ka pa pagiinteresan ng carnappers! ). Yes, its easy to maintain, regular change of fluids lang.

Nice! :D i've read here that gas variants are easier to maintain than its diesel counterparts. Malaki ba difference? I like the smoothness of gas kasi. My mom had a diesel adventure dati. Magaspang ang feel.haha :D

FX's gas powered engines (7k and 5k) are very easy to maintain and almost to all mechanic have know hows to dismantle and reassemble these engines.
both are realiable and wala ka iisipin na usok unlike diesel variants.

Had a 96 GL before, malakas sya, kahit puno, petiks lang, yun nga lang, ang downside sa 7k engine, medyo malakas sya sa gas, and wala na tayo magagawa dun, it is built that way.

sa 5k naman, matipid sya sa gas, medyo malayo sa 7k, pero meh agwat din sila sa power, mas mahina sya pero not to the point na sobrang bagal, some say underpowered daw, pero for me, okei lang, hindi ko naman pangangarera eh, kahit 1.5liters lang, kahit kargahan, walang problema.

Gas FX really do consumes more fuel, as if para ka na ding naka 2.0 . Though had a Galant 2.0 before, at parang mas matipid pa yun he he. Anyway, despite its consumption, I still kept the FX as it offers more room and im more confident going thru small floods. Easy maintenance and good parts availability is still great! Just make sure it is always in tip top condition and still, you can never go wrong with an FX. BTW, as experienced, for you to be able to achieve or at least maintain its "standard" efficiency, I regularly use Blaze fuel and Fully synthetic oil. It gives me good morning start-ups and finer engine idle and response. Also, maintain an RPM at least or below 2000. Kakainip nga lang sa express!
