    sorry bro, i just sold my fx 3 weeks ago. pinalitan ko old model na strada (1996). i need 4x4 pick-up kasi kaya i have to let go of my fx since kulang na kulang pambili ko sa L200 strada. . sold it at 210K only. luging lugi with the upgrade and accessories na linagay ko. kakilala ko bumili so pag nagkapera ako, pwede ko bilhin ulit. napakatipid talaga fx. mas matulin pa kaysa sa revo pagdating sa akyatan. mura at madami pa parts. fx lover din ako for a long time around 10 years na that i'd been driving fx.

    depende kung ano papagawa mo. pag general overhaul like magpalit ka na cylinder liner or sleeve, around 25k gagatosin including labor. ito break down for your options:

    1. cylinder head reface - 1,200 machine shop labor - pwede rin hindi na pa reface kung okay pa cylinder head mo.
    2. overhauling gasket - 2,100 - usually asbestos type yong head gasket na kasama sa kit kaya pwede mo i swap ng original head gasket kung gusto mo. around 1,800 orig head gasket. kasama na rin sa kit yong valve seal
    3. kung malalim na valve seat, kailangan mo papalitan ng bago sa machine shop. around 1,100 ang labor materials para sa bagong valve seat. yong mga valve, pede mo ibalik lahat kung okay pa.
    4. since na top ovehaul na yan, you need to renew the liner or sleeve. bali 2,800 ang HTK brand na sleeve plus labor ng machine shop na around 1,200. ibalik mo yong mga standard piston kung okay pa.
    5. piston ring. 1500 lang yong replacement japan pero kung pang gamit mo naman, i suggest you get the genuine part na around 3,800 and presyo
    6. you need to change the timing belt para minsanan. 800 lang yong japan replacement part pero delikado kasi marami na naputolan ng timing belt na bagong palit. i suggest you get the genuine part na unitta ang tatak. around 2,200 ang price nya. dont sacrifice to get yong mura kasi madami masisira sa makina mo pag naputolan ka timing belt lalo at high speed.
    7. oil and oil filter. check mo na rin fuel filter and air cleaner at baka kailangan na palitan.
    8. check mo na rin oil pump and water pump kung okay pa para minsanan labor.
    9. around 4k to 4.5 k ang labor ng general overhaul sa tc turbo.

    plus miscellaneous like kerosine, selicon gasket and others.

    before this car i had lancer singkit then lancer itlog and pinakahuli yung civic pero naging pinaka enjoy ako dito sa fx. shempre pag binata masarap magdala ng civic dahil mas malakas dating sa chicks pero ngayong pamilyado na mas natutuwa ako sa fx. sa experience ko ng pag revive nito, ramdam na ramdam talaga yung halaga ng mura at readily available parts. isa pang nagustuhan ko ay yung tipid sa gamit. ang laki ng mura ng diesel sa gas kaya di ako nanghihinayang mag drive unlike noong naka civic ako tipid na tipid like pag malapit lang sumasakay na lang ako ng jeep para lang makatipid sa gas money. balak ko pa din bumili ng sedan pero pang coding lang.nakaka miss din kasi minsan mag drive ng maliit na sasakyan at naka gas dahil mabilis ang acceleration. pero for practicality fx pa din talaga gusto kong primary vehicle.
    wow, congrats sa project mo...used to own one, '95 Tamaraw GL 1.5 Gas. But sold it 5 months ago. kung pwede ko lang maging project yung FX namin dati, but magiging magastos din pag major repairs.

    Hello po sa lahat at sa mga kapwa FX owners!

    Meron po akong 96 FX Standard diesel. Gusto ko po sanang i-upgrade into GL look. Tanong ko lang po kung may alam po kayong mabibilhan ng mga pyesa to upgrade it. (ex. dashboard, stepboard, fender, headlights and grill)

    Pards ako gumagamit ng STP Diesel treatment mas OK ang hatak. Maganda ang takbo ng 2C diesel ko pag kargado ako ng STP parang energized. Pakiramdam ko gustong gusto ng aksyon. Masarap umarangkada. Try mo pards mura lang naman eh at tuwing full tank lang ang karga.

    siguradong diesel yung kay boss kuliglig, di ko lang tiyak kung 2C or 3C.
    akin kasi yung orig na 2C

    anong fuel consumption niyo sa diesel? nag try ako mag compute ng fuel consumption using data from my last 2 consecutive full tanks and i arrived at a figure of 17km/L. realistic ba or nagkamali ako ng pag compute?

    [SIZE=3]mine is 3c turbo. but you can strap a ct9 turbo to the original 2c na engine ng fx na yong vacuum type para mag mukhang 3c. all parts of 3c and 2c are the same except yong sa engine block, crank shaft, piston and piston arms. the rest are the same from cylinder head, piston ring and others.

    marami na ako post regarding change engine from gasoline to diesel, from 2c to 3c, and from 2c ordinary to 2c turbo. brows mo na lang mga naunang post. complete details po yan from the budget to the spare parts needed.
