questions about toyota Fortuner.

Sa mga Fortuner owners, paki sagot lang po ng mga questions ko.

1. ilang months/weeks po ba mag iintay bago nyo makuha ung unit nyo?

2. gaano kaganda yung suspension ng Fortuner? (tama lang o matigas)

3. top speed po na naabot nyo?

4. wala po bang engine problems?

5. acceleration, talaga po bang malakas?

6. fuel consumption po.

7. ano pong mas maganda: 2.7G o 3.0V?

paki sabi po kung 2.7G o 3.0V ung Fortuner nyo.

1. Dati kasi smin it took a month before nailabas ung unit namin kasi hinintay pa ung plaka bago namin kinuha.. pero for now I think mas mabilis na kasi may mga naka display na sa show rooms na fort eh.. check niyo TQA palagi akong may nkikita na display unit dun..

2. well actually maganda talaga ang suspension ng fort.. kayalang medyo matagtag talaga ang fort.. pero tulad ng sinasabi nila na back breaker daw nd intolerable ang ride niya eh sobrang exagerated na un!.. inherent nrin talaga because of toyota's suspension tuning nrin and because of its ladder frame chassis.. and mind you it shares the same chassis as the hilux..

3. I reached 175 Km/h sa sky way and 160 Km/h sa national highway in quezon with out problems! and sobrang kaya pa!.. ako lang ang natakot kasi puno ako and iwas aksidente lang..

4. if you get the gas model sobrang wala kang problema! at matipid din siya for its size.. pero kahit ung diesels reliable narin eh.. kasi wala na akong nababalitaan na may problems wid D4d

5. Oo! kaya kong makipag sabayan sa mga compact cars sa overtaking manuevers sa highway wid out problems..

6. 6.5 km/l to 7.5 km/L city driving, 10.5km/L to 11km/L highway..

7. Sir mag 2.7G kana you wont regret it!! best bang for your buck SUV in the market today.. its cheaper than the Alterra and almost the same wid the CRV.

Fortuner 3.0 d4d

1. 3 days lang marami ng supply ng fortuner dito. I think the demand curve
declined already.

2. Maganda siya. very stable for a suv. Since ive been driving pick up trucks for the past 11 years. Di naman matalbog ang fortuner unlike what others say. Of course its not as soft as what you can feel with most sedans. Always bear in mind that you bought a suv and a suv will always be a suv no matter what. If you want a comfortable suspension dont buy a suv. BUmili ka nalang ng sedan or crv or rav4.

3. 140kph at nlex pero kayang kaya pa umangat. This Saturday I will test it dun sa highway papuntang batangas.

5. Yep I can attest that it is even faster than our 92 corolla gli 1.6litre and hindi kaya iwanan ang fortuner ng civic vti.

6. 8-10km/litre. I cant remember ung figures ko sa highway but on a full tank from Alabang to Subic and vice versa I consumed less than 1/2 or almost 1/2 ng tank ang naubos.

7. Bias ako sa diesel so obviously I would recommend the diesel. It is more fuel effecient and more durable than a gas engine. Yung 11 year old mitsu L200 namin never ako tinirik sa kalye miski isang beses. Oh yeah 4x4 ang 3.0 d4d pero di ko naman ginagamit for off road hehe pang display lang. Pero kung marami lang akong pera sasali ako sa 4x4 club.


Get the fortuner instead of the alterra. Di ko trip design ng alterra but I think the alterra will fare better in cornering. Pero why buy a suv if your into cornering speed? I dont think the CRV would be appropriate to compare to the fortuner. Since both belong to different classes. But if I may suggest if your used to ride a car and want the same comfort as what you would expect in a car get the CRV. But if you want a suv with sheer bulk get the fortuner.

--just right for a truck, but on the firmer side
3. top speed po na naabot nyo?
--i don't speed too much, around 120.
4. wala po bang engine problems?
--we got the 2.7 version, no problems
5. acceleration, talaga po bang malakas?
--malakas humatak, habulan sa mga sedans kaya
6. fuel consumption po.
--malakas rin! hehehe mga 5-7kms/L, depends on how heavy your foot is
7. ano pong mas maganda: 2.7G o 3.0V?
for the 300K price difference, i'll still get the 2.7G.

as for your last question, if they had the crv then, i think i'd like that one better. more features and better quality IMHO. parang may kulang kasi sa loob ng fortuner e. sobrang simple and "cheap" ng mga materials na ginamit. but i would only go for the entry level for the crv. pwede na yung 2.0 liter engine for my needs. i only usually seat 2 people inside. just the occasional family dinner would fill the whole suv up
