We have a 2009 Fortuner "V" variant. Admittedly its got harsher ride than my Isizu Bighorn (but what other SUV that does not ride on an air suspension has a smoother ride than a Bighorn/Trooper?). However, I would say that its not much harsher (matagtag) than a New Nissan Super Safari. Ok lang siya, I guess

my cousin owns a 3.0 D-4D Hilux since 2005 pa (sa kanya yung unang release ng Hilux 3.0G sa Toyota San Fernando Pamp) and is happy with it... wala naman daw syang na experience regarding choking, hard starting, stalling probs, etc... knowing my cousin, maingat sya sa sasakyan at maselan sa fuel stations na pinupuntahan... his Hilux is still running so good, same engine sound for the past years of ownership (observed everytime na nagkikita kami)... this is the reason why i believe na nasa quality of diesel fuel ang problema, wala sa engine mismo... no wonder kaya ayaw maglabas ng diesel engine ang Honda dito satin dahil for sure they will experience the same...

yup, taken from our garage... it's a 2.7 VVT-i (graduation and birthday gift ni mama, hahaha) ... turning 3 years old this coming june... it's my daily drive and really satisfied with it... no complains on fuel economy, maintenance cost and ride comfort... i prefer the "real SUV" feeling of an SUV than a car-like comfort...

proud owner of facelifted 3.0 D4D here, my odo reaches almost 3K got no prob, so far wla pa naman nag complain sa facelifted fort since it release (oct 2008)...tagtag is tolerable some guys are so exaggerated on this matter just don't compare it to sedan. fort platform is not sedan base but its tougher and durable to compare....

February 10th, 2009 01:57 AM #30what do some guys want from the money you paid for that price ba BTW? some active air suspension inside an SUV/truck based car? sa price ng current fortuner i think you already got what you paid for mas mahal pa nga rav4 kesa sa fortuner diba
since mas mura to compare to real luxury SUVs, yung perang natipid mo eh gamitin na lang sa suspension upgrade to what makes you feel comfortable. level up po kasi ako dun e, truck based nga naman body niya. no wonder some can't appreciate it
