September 17th, 2011 08:49 AM #1Hi. Had it checked initially and the body ground was ok. Had the guages cleaned. The temperature sender replaced with a surplus part. The cylinder head gasket replaced (water overflows everytime i press the accelerator) and the radiator cleaned. Today is actually my 4th day at the mechanic bros and am really stressed over this. Please if someone has any idea. Thank you very much. Have a good one.

September 17th, 2011 07:56 PM #2what do you mean?
does it go up to 3/4 immediately upon starting the engine even if cold?
is it stuck at 3/4 even with the engine off?
it doesn't go higher than 3/4 even when the engine is clearly overheating?

September 17th, 2011 09:41 PM #3thanks for the reply bro.
does it go up to 3/4 immediately upon starting the engine even if cold? even when u just started the engine, it starts to climb until reaching 3/4. actually before the procedures mentioned, it even reached its max temp settings.
is it stuck at 3/4 even with the engine off? it goes down when u turn the engine off.
it doesn't go higher than 3/4 even when the engine is clearly overheating? dont see signs of overheating actually, sir. matter of fact, the engine still runs.
again sir, thanks. hope to hear from u soon. have a good one.

We really need much more information (input) from you about the symptoms, as they were, before you replaced the head gasket.
Was it ok before, or was the water bubbling out before you changed the gasket?
With the scant information provided, I suspect a fault with the head gasket installation where one or more of the engine block to head coolant passages has been blocked.
Was the work down by a qualified experienced mechanic?
Ciao!
Uncle Nick.

mag try ka ng another temperature sender, para matest mo kung compatible yung temperature sender na nabili mo, minsan kase yung ibang sender di ka match.

September 19th, 2011 03:14 AM #6well, based on what we know, it is possible that the sending unit you originally had, has exactly the same defect as the surplus unit you replaced it with! kaya siguro sinurplus ng original owner.. heh heh. or, it's your gauge that's defective. ngayon, anong mas madali: palitan ang sending unit ng original brand new, or replace the gauge with a brand new?..
Choice I would have made as well.
