February 17th, 2011 08:53 AM #981i am an OFW and very much sure to get a 4x2 A/T dsl FORTUNER when i come home next month. i have read most of the threads here at lumalabas na yun models 2005-2008 ang may prob sa D4Ds. na fix na ba kaya nila yun problem sa mga models 2009 onwards? how would i know the manufacturing year of the unit ? makikita ba eto sa paperworks or naka stamp eto sa nameplate ng unit?
please reply naman po just to make sure i can get worth of my hard earned money sa bibilhin kung sasakyan..

February 17th, 2011 11:28 AM #982isa lang masasabi ko, wag maniwala sa ahente.
Your money, your own risk. Ganun naman ang nangyayari sa problema ng d4d. Swertehan

If were you , I would not risk my hard earned money for a d4d at the moment especially if you will be keeping the car for a long time.

February 19th, 2011 10:27 PM #984I agree. Before I bought my new Vehicle (Sept. 2010), I did some research and what me decide not to buy an Innova D4d is because of some feedbacks from owners who have had bad experience with their Toyota diesel vehicle. Unless you really want a Toyota brand, better get a gasoline variant instead. I feel bad for those people who unluckily experienced those choking problems. It is hard earned money and it should not give you problems at all for a short period of time. As for me, I end up buying a nice VGT powered SUV that can even literally swim through flood. I read from a motoring writer that a new and a much more improved model is coming soon. Hope this time, the engine will be way different from the present one.

most of us pinoy still admire toyota kahit na meron paring minor defects ang mga products nila, but still toyota were able to solve some problems kahit hindi pa 100% solved.
my uncle has 5 units of d4d grandia that is currently being used as a ambulance. pero seems there's no problem in the engine.. still working and strong.

Which is better? Amaron or Panasonic Battery?
