Yeah, but from what I've seen so far, is that many of them are clueless about this. They either don't wire it into the dashboard switches, or simply don't make it work even if wired in.

If the manual says 10w30 then that's what you should try to get as much as possible. 15w30 will be a good substitute.

Try not to deviate as much as possible from what Toyota recommends, as they are the ones who designed your engine and thus now best in that aspect. Besides, if the oil is too think, it will not squirt properly through the injectors, which not only lubricate but also help cool the engine.
